Topic: THE FAT SLAVE
Text: 2 Timothy 2:26, Romans 6:16, Galatians 4:1, Isaiah 52:3, Revelation 18:11–13.

2 Timothy 2:26 (KJV) says: And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
The devil is the president of the snare of the fowler. He is the snare maker, and this scripture is telling us that a lot of people are inside the snare of the devil, and he has taken them captive at his will, controlling their lives as he wants, but anyone who does not want to be controlled like that has to take steps to recover himself.
No pastor, no prophet, and no deliverance will recover you. It is you will who desire, determine, and discipline yourself to deliver you. It is a personal responsibility, a desire, and a determination to say, “No, I do not want to be in bondage.” “No, I do not want to be caged.”
Lazy Christians who are not ready to go through the discipline required for deliverance and recovery are those who fall prey to all kinds of prophets all over the place. How can somebody with a Masters degree in Chemistry go to a prophet, and he is putting incisions on your reproductive organ? It is crazy. Laziness to pray, to read the Bible, and not being willing to be disciplined shows that they are in bondage. They need to recover themselves, not depend on a pastor. Many of the pastors, too, need to recover themselves.
And that scripture says something very terrible here: “…Who are taken captive at his will”. Meaning they are his slaves.
May you not become a slave of the enemy! in the name of Jesus.
You can see the idea of personal responsibility being put across.
Romans 6:16 (KJV) says “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”
Something is telling you that your body needs fornication; you obey. It says “drink alcohol”, you obey. It says “steal,” and you obey. It says “commit adultery”, you obey.
What this scripture in Romans is saying is that that power, that thing, that bottle of alcohol you are obeying means that you are a servant.
When somebody has said something and you are not happy about it and your anger is already boiling up, that anger that you are obeying; you are a servant to it. You are a servant of fighting, either in public or in your family.
It is a day of disaster when your landlord comes to knock on your door and says, “Shebi, it is you people who always pray every night and disturb us; why are you fighting? You should be the one telling us not to fight.” You and your husband are servants; you are slaves.
Anybody is free to call you anything they want to call you. If you sit around now and somebody calls you a thief or a robber, and you know that you are not a thief or a robber, their words enter through one ear and leave through the other. Somebody may call you foolish, but it does not bother you.
But if it bothers you, the reason is because you are a servant of pride, self-ego, and self-importance; that is why what they are saying is getting to you. Is it coming to pass? If everything people say to others came to pass, everyone would have become mad in the whole world. The words are of no consequence at all. But when you are a servant, you obey. You can be a servant of sin and you die.
You can be a prisoner of hope, a divine prisoner. God says, “Sit down,” you sit. He says, “Do not talk,” you keep quiet. He says “preach,” and you preach. He says, “Pray,” you pray. You are a prisoner of hope; a servant of the most high God.
Galatians 4:1-3 (KJV) “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:”
This scripture says that if you refuse to grow as a Christian and you remain a baby Christian, you are a servant, a slave. You are not different from a servant, although you have all the facilities. If you refuse to grow spiritually, it is a recipe for staying in bondage.
Many of the people crying out on deliverance grounds every day sometimes need just repentance. That is why the first message in any deliverance meeting is repentance. By the time people repent, they take the seat away from the enemy, and other things are then easy to collapse.
Many crying out on deliverance grounds are actually asking you, a human being, to deliver them from the hands of God. God is fighting them, and they are talking to pastors about deliverance. What deliverance minister could help Jonah inside that boat? God was ready to destroy Jonah and other passengers inside that boat because of the disobedience of one man. What Jonah needed was obedience to the instruction of the Almighty, not deliverance or a deliverance minister.
Some go to deliverance ground and dress very well; no jewellery of any kind or any artificial hair do; they are natural and pure the way God made them. They cry for deliverance.
Then the same people leave the deliverance ground, go home, and say, “Bondage, I am back.” They put the stuff on again, and the enemy, using it as a ladder, comes back. So they are using God as a more powerful medicine instead of changing their ways and listening to God.
The blunt truth is that most of the artificial things we use to beautify ourselves are from fallen angels and the marine world. And so if you have marine problems, water spirit is bothering you, you are born in a riverine area, then you are putting their materials on your body, and yet you are asking for deliverance, the principle is quite simple: slaves who love their chains shall remain in their bondage.
And this is why we have lots of people crying for deliverance every day. They love their chains, so they remain in their bondage. They do not like any preacher or teacher telling them the truth.
The truth is this: there is a difference between somebody teaching salvation, somebody preaching deliverance, and somebody preaching motivation.
A motivational sermon can never cause deliverance to happen. This is a serious matter.
Isaiah 52:3 (KJV) “For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.”
You can sell yourself. You can decide to hire a lawyer against yourself. You can decide to strengthen your bondage. Your bondage may be inside sand, and then you buy cement to make it block, and then it becomes very difficult.
Some come to the house of God, and what they do outside is totally different from what the Bible is saying. The people I find very strange are those who practise cleverly concealed sins, and they still come to the house of God thinking God does not see them. The group leader does not see them. The house fellowship leader does not see them, and so they believe that if those ones do not see them, then God does not see them.
No. God may hide your iniquity from that pastor or house fellowship leader. It is another device for your destruction unless you call yourself to order before you approach the journey of no return.
Let us see some of the products of the merchants of the earth in Revelation 18.
Revelation 18:11-13 (KJV) “And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.”
The merchants of the earth take slaves for the devil. Who is a slave?
- A legal property of another person.
- Someone who is forced to obey another.
- When you are excessively dependent on and controlled by something.
In 1994 here, 30 minutes after a Wednesday service had closed, one pastor who attended the service came to my office and started crying, saying that he wanted to see me.
When my staff saw how bitterly he was crying, they brought him to me. He introduced himself as pastor so and so from so and so place. He was not an MFM member. He then broke down and cried again. I asked, “Pastor, why are you crying?” He said, “Sir, see the powerful meeting we had here today; you will not believe that immediately I got to the roundabout there, I went and bought a cigarette and smoked. Sir, I need deliverance from this thing.”
So this pastor was being dependent on and controlled by tobacco.
A slave is:
- Someone being controlled by another.
- A bond servant. The origin of the word ‘slave’ infers being captured in the dustbin and excreta of mankind.
- The property of another. That slave is not a full human but the property of another.
There is physical slavery, and there is spiritual slavery.
In the category of spiritual slavery, there are 10 kinds of slaves. And this is why we need prayer, repentance, and discipline.
- Slavery by force: you are overpowered.
- Slavery by decision: You know that this thing is bad; you knew it would not help you. But you decided to go and do it.
- Slavery by inheritance. Your grandfather was a slave, your father was a slave, and now you are a slave.
Your great-grandmother was a slave to adultery and fornication; your grandmother too was a slave, having five children with four different men; your mother too had three husbands with you as the child of the third husband, and now you are also having problems with your marriage. It wants to throw you out of the place so that you can repeat those things. It is called inherited slavery.
- Conscious slavery.
- Unconscious slavery
- Slavery by covenant: A covenant had been formed, and you signed it. A man cut himself with a knife, asked a young lady to also cut herself, then squeezed the blood into a glass, mixed it together, and added alcohol.
Then they shared and drank with a promise that they would not marry any other person apart from the other. That is the foolish covenant a young lady went into. Unfortunately, the person with whom she formed the covenant had a vehicular accident and died.
Now, marrying somebody else has become a problem. She prayed and fasted and went for all manner of deliverance, until God revealed the secret, and I asked her, “Have you ever formed a blood covenant with anybody?” She asked, “What is a blood covenant?” I began to explain. Then she shouted, “Yeee! I remember.
My then boyfriend on campus, I did one with him.” She made this covenant at the age of 19. At the time she would start praying, she was 47, with no husband, because they had all just run away. Some would propose to her, then have a dream where a man would come to warn them and say, “If you move close to my wife, you are in trouble.”
I am going to pray a strategic prayer now. Let your Amen be 10 fold:
Father, I decree that any covenant keeping anyone out of their destiny, let that covenant be broken now! In the name of Jesus.
- Slavery by carelessness: A person is celebrating their birthday in your compound; they give you food, and you eat. Careless eating.
- Organised slavery. It is organised to keep you out of your destiny.
- Decent slavery. Sophistication on the outside, but slavery on the inside. All the sophistication on the outside is just to hide the slavery on the inside.
Masturbation and all kinds of perversions have finished the person on the outside, but he is putting up a bold front on the outside, like all is well.
- Periodic slavery: Sometimes he is normal, sometimes he is not normal. This is a very serious matter.
Many many years ago, slaves were taken from West Africa away by the White men to go and serve as slaves in their plantations and fields. There are several places called slave ports. Those are places where they take slaves away. Go and check all those slave ports; there is no development because, as they were dragging the people away, the slaves were issuing curses.
Those places are in trouble. Badagry is a slave port. It was in Badagry that Christianity started, but yet, the light of the gospel is not very bright there. So these slaves were sold off, sometimes by their own people.
People would give 10 human beings as slaves in exchange for a piece of mirror. Sometimes for even bangles or jewelries.
When the slave merchants found out that they were not getting enough slaves from the merchants who were selling them, they would go and capture people by force, chain them up, and walk them from wherever they got them to the slave port.
These slaves would sometimes walk for 400 kilometres to get to the slave port. This is a very sad story, but I do not mind telling it to you. It is not to hate anybody, but so you understand what slavery is all about.
When they are grabbed, they are packed like sardines on the ship, on an overcrowded ship. At the bottom of the ship, they remain in one position, chained. It is in that position that they will eat, relieve themselves, and sleep. Even the ship masters do not go to that part of the ship because of the stink.
So the slaves have to endure diseases, and sometimes shipwreck. If there is a shipwreck, all the slave masters will enter a boat and sail away, leaving the slaves in the ship to die. If a slave becomes sick and is vomiting, there is no treatment for him; the slave master just throws him into the sea.
And these are men who have walked barefoot from wherever they were captured. They die from suffocation, malnutrition, disease, and torture. Immediately, some of them removed the chain a bit; they tried to commit suicide because they found out that suicide was better than the conditions they were subjected to.
These slave masters would be making advances on the women slaves. If those women refused those advances, they were flogged and raped. And they were kept naked.
A high percentage of them did not make the voyage, and when they got to the plantations, their mouths were padlocked so that they would not eat out of what they were planting. This is a serious matter. The heat under where they were kept is totally intolerable. The oxygen level there was very low, so low that if you lit a candle, it would not burn, due to the number of slaves kept there.
Let me stop describing it. That is the horror of the historical slave trades.
What I am trying to tell you is this: There is a more wicked slave trade going on now. There are now many witchcraft killings. Blood is now being transferred to many wicked altars for wealth, fame, power, and the prolongation of years.
Many doctors have become satanists, and they must contribute their quota of babies per year. Many are not really in charge of their lives; it is another thing controlling them. To make it worse, many have witchcraft-controlling powers in their villages and towns, controlling them from wherever they are in the world.
Imagine a man with five children who went to a prophetess to pray. After the prayer, he abandoned his beautiful wife and children and said that God had asked him to marry the prophetess. He had been enslaved.
There are many spiritual zombies in the house of God. They come to MFM, but they do not understand. They are not obeying the principles that keep the miracles running in their lives. Many men have been captured under the waters. As I speak to you, there are men whose semen is under the water, and so the total control of their lives is with the strange woman.
A man who was a professor had a wife who was also a professor. One night, the woman woke up, looked beside her, but did not see her husband. She wondered where he went to. She thought he went to the toilet, waited a bit, but still did not see him. So she went to the toilet to check and did not find him.
She checked the whole house but still did not see him. Then something told her to go and check the boys quarters. So she went there that night because they have a maid who sleeps there. When madam got there, she found the professor on top of this maid, naked and sleeping with her.
But the strange thing was that all the activity the man was performing on top of the girl did not wake her up. It was the woman who shouted, “Daddy! What are you doing?” The woman wanted to cause trouble, but the man begged and prostrated. It was later found out that the maid went to a native doctor and said, ‘I want this man.” That one said, “No problem, bring your pants, so she took her pants to the native doctor. Then he returned it to her and said, “Soak the pant in water. Anytime you are asked to prepare food for the man, add the water, but make sure it is okro soup you add it to.”
So this man had been eating pant okro soup for years, and now he had been captured. Madam, there are many salons. You can never tell where the water used to wash your hair is ending up.
And satanic people have captured many more now, and more people are just joining the bondage, becoming slaves. Part of being free from bondage is knowing what it is that enslaves you.
Many are eating from the table of the devil. Some have bought rings and jewellery from them, and some are even sleeping with satanic people, and they think it is deliverance that will save them; they think that God will just remove it, and they go back to their sins.
Also, eating in dreams is a sign of slavery. It is a journey into bondage to consult false prophets and herbalists. All the unscriptural use of psalms is a journey into bondage. All the astrology and metaphysics are a journey into bondage.
All the incisions on your body are a journey into bondage. All the possessions of names that do not glorify God are a journey into bondage. Anybody from a polygamous home is already in bondage. All the use of special perfumes for prayers is a journey into bondage.
Memorization of incantations is a journey into bondage. Anywhere you go and they are asking you to remove your clothes and throw them into the river is a journey into another bondage. Anyone applying soap and sponge on your body to give you a bath is a journey into bondage. Anyone reading spiritual books like the 6th and 7th books of Moses is on a journey into bondage.
Years ago, a man picked up a lady from the UNILAG campus here and offered her 5,000 dollars for sex. He picked her up with a big Jeep from campus, and they drove somewhere. If something was not wrong with that girl, she was supposed to wonder why somebody would give her 5,000 dollars for sex for one night. She did not think like that. It was later she was telling me all this. She said that when they got there, it was a big house surrounded by walls. Again, it was the man who came down from the car and opened the gate.
Again, it did not occur to her why a man with such a big house did not have gatemen. She followed the man, and when they got into the bedroom, he said, “You undress, lie on the bed, and wait for me; I want to shower.” The girl did not hear any sound of water; that again was a clue for her to run away, but she stayed.
All of a sudden, by the time she would look towards the bathroom, what was crawling towards her was a huge python. She tried to get up from the bed, but she could not. It was then that she remembered the blood of Jesus. That day, the blood of Jesus went on holiday; the blood did not work for her that day there.
The snake crawled slowly, climbed the bed, crawled on her stomach, and stayed on top of her stomach with her head up. Then she said that something from under that snake was entering her private part, and then she felt a hot liquid push into her private part.
Then, the snake went down, crawled into the bathroom, and the man came out smiling. It was then that she could gather herself. She quickly stood up, took her bag, dressed up, and ran out, but the deed had been done. She had 5,000 dollars in her bag, but she was in bondage. It was when she was behaving half mad and half normal on campus that she was brought here.
So after telling me the story, she said, “Man of God, pray for me.” I said, “There are steps you need to take.” She said, “Man of God, before I take those steps,” she dipped her hand into her bag, brought out the money, and said, “Excuse me, sir, let me sow this into your life.” I said, “Sorry, I do not want it; do not sow it. Go back to that house where you collected it; go and return the money.” She went there, but nobody answered the gate, so she threw the money into the compound and came back.
The first covenant had been broken. It was then that she could head for deliverance.
Are you here this morning and you are being controlled by forces you do not know about? You are being controlled by lust, bad habits, and all kinds of things you should not practise as a Christian? You are being controlled by so many things? You have an opportunity this morning to set yourself free.

- Anything the enemy has stolen from my destiny, come back now! In the name of Jesus.
- Anything planted by evil dreams into my life, be uprooted by fire! In the name of Jesus.
- Powers blocking my advancement, scatter! In the name of Jesus.
- My glory, jump out of every coven of witchcraft! In the name of Jesus.
- (Raise your right hand to the heavenlies.) My blessings and goodness, hanging in the sky, fall into my hand! In the name of Jesus.
- Who is fighting with my star? Hear the Word of the Lord: run mad and die! In the name of Jesus.

- Power of bondage in my life, die! In the name of Jesus.
- Power of spiritual slavery in my life, die! in the name of Jesus.
- Powers assigned to disgrace my destiny, you are liars; die! In the name of Jesus.
- Every habit in my life assigned to make me go to hell fire, die! in the name of Jesus.
- Blood of Jesus, sanitise my life, in the name of Jesus.
- Blood of Jesus, purge my life, in the name of Jesus.
