Topic: THE BATTLES OF LIFE (2)
Text: Deuteronomy 28:7.

Deuteronomy 28:7 (KJV) says: “The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.”

Life is a battle. The Bible says, “Man that is born of a woman is of few days and is full of trouble.” From birth to death, life is a battle. Some begin their battle before they were born. Some begin their battle as toddlers. Some begin their battle as babies.

Just like the case of that woman who was shot dead by armed robbers with a baby strapped to her back. It took three days to find her corpse. Her corpse was found with a living baby strapped to her back who had not been fed for 3 days. The battle of that baby had resumed.

I am praying for somebody here: any battle that has been escorting anyone from the womb as a baby, let the enemies behind that battle destroy themselves! In the name of Jesus. (a sevenfold amen).

There are some people here; it took a miracle for you not to be aborted. There are some people here. To some, it took a miracle for you not to be a still birth, because the enemy did not even want you to be born.

For some, it took a miracle for you to even be born. To some, they were rejected by their parents on their day of birth because they were not the preferred gender they wanted.

I am praying for anyone here like that suffering from such rejection, let that rejection backfire! In the name of Jesus.

The moment a baby is born, the baby begins to cry because it knows it has come into a battle, a problematic world. So life is a battle. Sickness is a battle. The Bible calls sickness a battle.

Medical people or biologists will tell you that God Himself knew that the body may have battles to fight, and so He created something inside our bodies called ‘white blood cells’. The white blood cells are responsible for fighting diseases, infections, and enemies that want to invade the body. They will fight if anything wants to enter the body.

If you have a wound, the blood will rush to that place and clot as a shield so that sickness and other things do not enter the body, thereby preventing infection from coming in.

But when a situation comes, when that internal soldier God has put there cannot cope with the enemy it is facing, the person breaks down because sickness wins the battle. Are you into business? Business is a battle. It is war. The enemy does not want some people to have people. He wants some people to die poor.

There is a very serious competition in business that a lot of business people are into occult practices to steal from one another or to block the trade of others. The Bible says “the rich rule over the poor,” and a lot of rich people do not want the poor people to be rich, and this is a very serious situation.

Life is a war, and all these we began to describe the last time by looking at 30 facts about the battles of life. I remember telling you that:

1. The battle of life is a universal problem.
2. Battles arise against you because there is something the enemy wants to take away from you.
3. The world is not a playground. It is a battle field.
4. In that battle, you cannot be neutral. It is either life or death, darkness or light.
5. You either fight or perish. By handing over the battle of your life to a fellow human being, you are deceiving yourself. The Bible says, “Woe is he that putteth his trust in man”.
6. The two most effective weapons of the enemy are ignorance and discouragement.
   All these above are just to refresh your mind on what we talked about last week. Let us continue from where we stopped.
7. The enemy is an obstinate fighter and will only yield what he must yield, and so you must pursue every ground that he has taken.
8. The only language the enemy understands is violence and total defeat. Not a partial defeat. The enemy you shoot in the legs can still kill you because he still has hands to shoot a gun. The enemy does not understand pacification, “My blood is bitter; leave me alone,” or “I am the only child of my mother.” No wonder the Bible says, “As from the days of John the Baptist, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent taketh it by force.”
9. Your progress is the battle you win minus the battle you lose. If the battle you lose is more than the battle you win, you lose totally. So you must win.
10. In the battles of life, daily casualties are regular occurrences. Many of the things you see happening around you are manifestations of battle. They are called all kinds of names, but by the time you look at it behind the scenes spiritually, you find out that it is the manifestation of battles. It looks normal in the face, but it is actually a battle hiding to fight you.
11. Listen to this very well: the more colourful your destiny is, the harder your battle is. Some come complaining, “I do not know why. Why is my own like this?” Nobody will take army tanks and army machine guns to fight a small boy sleeping on a mat somewhere. No, it is too much weapon for that kind of enemy. But once your destiny is colourful, the enemy will give you a hard battle.

Unfortunately, those who have no glory are experts at fighting the ones with glory. If your life is of no consequence that nobody bothers you, whether you are dead or alive, the enemy ignores you and does not bother you. So, are you finding battles hard? Are you finding the enemy raging against you? It is a good sign that there is a colourful destiny waiting for. There is something worth challenging in your life. And so, you should not give up; you should give it a hard fight.

12. Some people do not understand this: the enemies of our souls have no mercy. That is why we tell you that when you face an enemy that is ready to bite you without a remnant, you must use your most potent weapon.

It was at Prayer City many years ago that we prayed some very dangerous prayers. I told anyone who was afraid not to pray because I said the arrow of the prayer could strike anywhere. There was a lady there who lived in Victoria Island. She was about 43. She had a whole house to herself, three cars, and no husband.

In fact, she was still a virgin. As we were about to close the meeting, there was a word of knowledge saying, “There is somebody here; if those in charge of your case do not release you now, they shall all die.” The lady did not even believe that it was for her. She just shouted amen. She got home from PMCH, prepared tea to break her fast, and as she was about to drink it, the phone rang. She picked it up, and they said, “We are sorry to tell you that your uncle just died.”

She broke down and started to cry because she lost both parents many years ago, and so she lived with that uncle. It was that uncle who brought her up. She put the tea down and kept crying. All of a sudden, the phone rang again. She picked up and was told, “We are sorry to tell you that your aunty just died.” She started crying again. But then she paused and remembered the word of knowledge at PMCH. Then the phone rang again for the third time.

The third person had died. It was then that she realised. Then she calmed down to drink her tea properly.

Do you know that in three months, she was married. Sometimes, we say, “Pray without having mercy.” We say “Shout a merciless amen.” It is important.

I am praying for somebody here: that any power that has made it a full-time assignment that you will not have joy, let them destroy themselves! In the name of Jesus. (a twenty-one-fold amen).

14. Your battle becomes hard when you are contending with a strong man assigned to that battle. Once a strong man is assigned to a battle, he wants to be sure that the battle does not stop. He will keep confronting the person. That is why sometimes when some people pray, they see some particular forces battling them: strongmen harassing destinies, strongmen saying, “You cannot go further.” Jesus said, “When a strongman armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace. But when a stronger man shall come upon him, he can take what the strong man has stolen.”.

The Bible says that no man can come into the house of the strong man and spoil his goods without first binding that strongman. In many families, there are strongmen. They are behind untimely deaths, marital failures, stagnancy, limitations, etc. They just stay there until you bring them down. They specialise in that battle, just like doctors at the hospital specialise in various areas.

I am praying for somebody here: any strongman assigned against your breakthrough, assigned against your day of celebration, shall be buried tonight! In the name of Jesus.

15. We, as believers, have superior weapons, superior equipment, and superior power. I am not saying that they do not have weapons. They do. We are not saying they do not have equipment or power. They do. But we, as Christians, are superior to them. Whether you are now able to access those superior weapons, power, or equipment is another thing entirely. This is where we are going to stop for today.

God has given us an array of weapons to put the enemy to fight. If one is not working, use another one. It is not a joke that when David was going to face Goliath, he did not just pick one stone. He had five stones in his hand. If one failed, at least another would work. He was one of those people who understood warfare. So if you try the first one, it does not work. Try the second one. Try the third one.

In normal battles, the weapon that you will use to fight in a forest is different from the one you will use to fight in water. The machine gun you carry will be totally useless to you if your enemy is a mosquito.

You need an appropriate weapon to fight the enemy, and God has given us plenty of those weapons. We are going to deploy those weapons tonight so that there will be no evil carryover.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Battles assigned to keep me on the same level, expire! In the name of Jesus.
2. Every evil voice crying at night, to waste my blessings, die! In the name of Jesus.
3. Powers assigned to shut down my laughter, you are liars; die! In the name of Jesus.
4. Arrows of wicked elders, backfire! In the name of Jesus.
5. O God, arise, catapult me above my mockers! In the name of Jesus.
6. Thou power of God, disgrace every insult in my life! In the name of Jesus.
7. (Make this decree 10 hot times.) In my life, there shall be no evil carryover into 2024, by the power in the blood of Jesus!
