Topic: LET THEY WHICH HATE ME BE ASHAMED
Text: Isaiah 50:7, Psalms 6:10, 35:4, 26, 53:5, 70:2, Luke 13:17.
Minister: Dr. Daniel Olukoya (G.O. MFM Worldwide)
Isaiah 50:7 (KJV) says: “For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.”
A flint is a hard stone. This morning’s message is a warfare message, and the message and prayer, which will start very soon, will do 10 different things in the camp of the enemy. So, really, you should thank God that you are here this morning.
The 10 things include the following:
- Unrepentant aggressors will receive disgrace.
- Stubborn pursuers who refuse to let you go will run mad; because the Bible says “He renders diviners mad.” That is, their native doctors will run into the streets, mad.
- Anybody being pursued by any witch doctor, the medicine of the witch doctor will pursue the witch doctor.
- Every programmed affliction will backfire.
- This will be a shocking surprise to many: the grave diggers will bury themselves.
- Those tongues anointed to curse you shall nakedly curse themselves on the streets.
- Any witchcraft bird flying against anyone will crash land. Not only that, they will be disgraced.
- That hand restraining your head from being lifted up when God says “lift it up” shall wither after the order of Jeroboam.
- Those hired to curse and bewitch you shall die shamefully after the order of Balaam.
- Any spiritual or physical assassin sent against you shall shoot themselves.
Shout I receive it (7 times), in the name of Jesus.
There is a weapon in God’s armoury that we rarely use. It is known as the weapon of shame.
I decree by the decree of heaven this morning that: Arrows of shame shall arise and locate your enemies, in the name of Jesus.
Psalms 6:10 (KJV) says: “Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.”
Psalms 35:4 (KJV) says: “Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.”
Psalms 35:26 (KJV) says: “Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.”
Psalms 53:5 (KJV) says: “There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.”
Shout: I receive it by fire, in the name of Jesus.
Psalms 70:2 (KJV) says: “Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.”
Luke 13:17 (KJV) says: “And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.”
I decree upon your life here this morning that all your adversaries shall be put to shame, in the name of Jesus.
There is a sister in this church who is a student at the university. In her final year, this lecturer said to her, “Well, unless I sleep with you, you will not pass this compulsory paper, and you will come back to repeat. It is a sad aspect of life in this country that lecturers run after students to sleep with them. The sister said, “No, I am a child of God; I do not want to do this.” The man said, “There are so many of you that call yourselves “child of God” that we sleep with, so what is different about you? You will just fail.”
The sister said, “I shall not fail in Jesus’ name.” Then she grabbed a copy of Prayer Rain, under the title: “Releasing confusion into the camp of the enemy.” Then she came to ask me for advice, and I said, “Pray that your adversary will be put to shame.” And she started praying. The next morning, she was in the lecture room reading, and they brought the lecturer in; he was shaking like a banana leaf.
There were whip marks all over his body, like somebody had been whipping him. The sister was surprised. She asked, “Sir, what is the matter?” He said, “Shut up, you witch! You sent some men to whip me at night. And they said, “You must pass her.” Look, everybody hear me now o. She has passed oo, my hand is not there.”
I say your enemies shall be put to shame, in the name of Jesus.
There are keys to put the enemies to shame:
- The key of separation. You separate yourself from the world. Keep yourself apart. They are calling you a strange person. Yes, Jesus was called a mad man. The Bible calls us peculiar people. We must separate ourselves from this wicked world. We must not be part of this wicked system. We must become friends of God. Our talking must be different. Our dressing must be different. The way we do our business must be different. The way we operate our lives must be completely separate from them.
The reason we have to be separate is this: when you say, “Let God arise and let His enemies be scattered,” you have to be careful that you are not part of His enemies. You have to understand that very well. When people start to call you a fanatical Christian, then you have just started. Jesus was called a worse name. He was called a mad man. So there is nothing to worry about. They call you all sorts of names? Nothing to worry about.
- The key of knowledge. Ignorance is a destroyer. It has been well said that “every man’s mountain is the mountain of his ignorance.” A lot of people who are born again live in monumental ignorance until they die. And sometimes, when we begin to explain things, they say, “No, no, what kind of thing is this? It is not possible in this modern world now.” Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth you know shall set you free.”
I pray that the Lord will damage our ignorance in the name of Jesus.
- The key of endurance: the ability to endure. The ability to withstand hardship, adversity, or stress. Ability to stand against the enemy. Ability to say, “No, I will fight back.” Ability to persevere. Most times, when people gave up and stopped fighting, all they needed was just to stand and give the enemy one last blow.
Try and understand, beloveth. If you have ever watched a boxing match, then you see that it is possible that somebody wins a boxing match in a knockout. But before he arrives at that knockout, at least one or two blows would have touched his face or his body.
Sometimes, by the time someone is declared a winner in a boxing match, you might not recognise his face again because it is so swollen. So you cannot expect to fire live bullets at the enemy, and he is firing blanks at you. It is not possible; he will fight back. So you must endure and fight back. And anytime you get depressed and sad and refuse to pray or praise, you will cause praise worship in the camp of the enemy.
I decree once again that your enemies shall be put to shame in the name of Jesus.
Key 4: the key of hatred. You must hate evil. Psalms 139:21–22 tells us:
“Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.”
We must hate evil.
Key 5: We must pray accurate prayers. You can pray inaccurate prayers all your life.
Key 6: You must have violent faith. The kind of faith that blind Bartimaeus had.
Key 7: You must exercise holy anger. Holy madness will bring holy anger. Anger becomes a blessing when you display holy anger against the enemies of your soul. Anger becomes a blessing when it makes you destroy chains and affliction. Instead of beating up your wife, divert that anger to your enemies. Instead of acting like that man who held his wife’s neck and was trying to flush her head into the toilet bowl and saying, “You, this woman, you brought bad luck into this house; I must flush your head,” flush the head of the devil away instead.
Anger is good and is a blessing when it dissolves the mockery of men, like Haman. Anger is good when it is done to produce a positive change, like Jesus cleansing the temple. Anger is good when you use it to reject temptation and evil. These are the seven keys to bring shame to the enemy.
This is a day when you must strike out with power and fire. When I came back from England after my PhD, I got a government flat, and we were there praying our prayers as usual and going to church. I went about my business and research quietly.
But one day, a woman brought warfare to me. This woman was a judge. She wrote a petition against me to my place of work, saying, “Dear director, there is one man living at the front of my house called Dr. Olukoya. Every night, this man does not sleep. He will stand there and call me all sorts of names. I have tried to caution him, but he did not listen. So remove him from this flat.” I can never forget the last sentence in that letter.
It read, “The likes of Dr. Olukoya are not supposed to be living in places like this; they are supposed to be living inside Mushin (a rough-looking place in Nigeria).”
And when the petition got to my place of work, it got into the hands of those who did not like me too. They said, “Yes. We have said it.” The woman came physically to report me. Then they asked her a question. “Do you know Dr. Olukoya?” She said, “Yes. He is always shouting there every day.” So I was invited. I came in, and she was asked, “Who is this?” She said, “I do not know him.”
They said to her, “But this is the Dr. Olukoya.” She said, “This man does not look like a troublemaker.” All of a sudden, she shouted, “I know him; it is him.” And this was great trouble. But the day she would be put to shame, I went to a scientific conference in Havana in Cuba. Everyone at my place of work knew that I was not in Nigeria. This judge then went to my place of work again and said, “Dr. Olukoya was shouting in the house last night.” It was then that those ones said, “Ah, madam, we think there is a problem. He is not in the country.” That was how God delivered me.
I decree one more time that your enemies shall be put to shame, in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER POINTS.
[Before Message]
- Opportunity wasters, I am not your candidate; die in the name of Jesus.
[After Message]
- Arrows of shame arise; locate my enemies, in the name of Jesus.
- Every power assigned to put me to shame, die, in the name of Jesus.
