Topic: NEUTRALISING SATANIC PRAYERS
Text: Luke 22:31–32, Mark 5:2-13, Luke 4:33–34, Matthew 8:29, Numbers 22:1-6, 12, 23:27–30.

The year was 1983. I was a student in England studying for a PhD. We had a fellowship called the African Christian Fellowship. I was the president at that university at the time, and a lot of Africans used to attend that fellowship.

One day after the service, I saw a Nigerian lady who was looking very sad. So I asked, “Madam, what is the problem?” She said, ‘I am not a madam; I am just 25.’ But she looked like a 50-year-old woman. So I asked, “Why are you looking so old?”

She said, “It is my husband. He has been doing a PhD here for 8 years. They have stopped his scholarship, and every attempt he makes, they frustrate him. I do not understand this. This man earned a first-class degree in zoology in Nigeria before coming here to study. Why he should get here and things have gotten out of hand, I do not understand.” I said, “Okay, does your husband go to church?” She said, “No, he is so disappointed with God. There is nothing you can say to him; he feels that God is not answering his prayers.”

So I said, “Give me your address,” and she gave me. I went there. It took an effort before he could come out of the bedroom to talk to me. So he sat down and began to explain that any attempt he made to pass the PhD, he failed.

Normally, when he is having his own kind of exam in his own field of study, they provide slides that people watch on the microscope. And having worked for about 3–4 years, he had thousands of slides. And so when the final exam comes, the examiner looks at just a few slides to ascertain whether he has done the work.

The last one that he had, the examiner, a professor of zoology, a white man, asked him, “How many slides do you have?” The man replied, ‘about 800 hundred and something’. The professor replied, “Bring all of them.” That was strange. Normally, 7 or 8 are enough. It was as though they sent this white man to him. He sat down and looked at the slides one by one. For 4 hours, he was there. As he was looking at them, he was putting some on the right side and some on the left side. So he accumulated all the ones that had problems. Then he told him that he had failed.

So the man told me this story. I asked, “But do you believe God can deliver you from all these?” He said, “I am going to church, but they are not helping me.” So I said, ‘Let us pray’. We prayed, and I heard the voice of God saying, “The enemy is living downstairs.” So I asked, ‘Who lives downstairs?’ He replied, “Another Nigerian man. He hates us; he does not talk to us.”

So, I went there, introduced myself to him, and we started talking. As we kept talking, ‘I asked, do you know the people living upstairs?’ He said, “Those useless people, I have finished them.” I said, “Finished them?” He said, “Yes, I sit down every night on my mat, and I chant their name from 12-3. I will light a candle; it will last for 3 hours. Then I will keep mentioning the man’s name and say, “This man must fail”.” Imagine spending three hours every night to make a fellow human being fail. He would continue this evil prayer every night until the candle died.

And this PhD man continued to fail, not knowing that his enemy was downstairs praying satanic prayers against him.

There are:

• negative,
• positive,
• neutral prayers,
• prayers that go up and bring down nothing.
• violent,
• unsanitized,
• uncivilised, wicked,
• mysterious,
• dangerous prayers.
  But at the same time, there are negative prayers.

I am praying for somebody here: if there is anyone sitting on a mat and he has converted your matter to a satanic prayer point, with a 21-fold amen, they must catch fire, in the name of Jesus.

You know, my memory went back to this incident late last year when I met the wife of that man praying the satanic prayer in our church here. I said “ehn? You? Where is your husband?” She said, “He is still there.” I asked, “Has he changed?” She said, “It is now worse.” Wickedness of the highest order.

I am praying for somebody here; any satanic utterance, any evil broadcast, any satanic incantations, hexes, and spells assigned against your life shall be nullified now, in the name of Jesus.

Let us carefully analyse some scriptures so you can understand where we are going this morning.

Luke 22:31–32 (KJV) “And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee,”

That is what saved Peter. There was a satanic prayer against Peter. Then there was a Jesus prayer to counter the satanic prayer. Satan had desired to have Peter. That was the prayer point of Satan: to sift Peter as wheat. The prayer point of Satan for many people is that he has desired that they will not prosper, marry, move forward, or make it. That is his desire.

Thank God Jesus said, “But I have prayed for you.” So, prayer can cancel the negative. Prayer counters prayer. There is a counter prayer that can neutralise satanic prayers. There are counter prayers that can gather all the evil prayers the enemies are praying, ask the angels of God to multiply them by seven, and send them back to the senders.

I am praying for anyone here: any organisation, power, unfriendly friends, satanic in-laws, colleagues at work, or envious enemies that are holding an evil prayer vigil against you. With another 21-fold amen, they must be disgraced, in the name of Jesus.

Mark 5:2-4 (KJV): “And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.”

This was the mad man of Gadara. He was a professor of insanity. He was as insane as insanity could be. Living inside the cemetery, cutting himself with stones, and crying day and night. They tried binding him; he just cut them to pieces.

Mark 5:5-7 (KJV) “And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.”

The man was not the one talking; it was those spirits inside him that were querying the Son of God. Then they started praying, “I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.” Do demons pray? Oh yes, there it is.

Mark 5:8 (KJV): “For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.”

But Jesus noticed some resistance. So he asked.

Mark 5:9–10 (KJV): “And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.”

They were begging Jesus now, their second prayer point. Number 1 prayer: don’t torment us. Number 2: Leave us in this country; we don’t want to leave; we want to stay and keep tormenting this country; don’t ask us to go. The demons prayed.

Mark 5:11–12 (KJV): “Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. And all the devils besought him,”

Prayer point 3: they prayed again that Jesus should send them into the swine. The fact that they were saying that Jesus should send them into the swine immediately tells you that that place was not the land of Israel. The Israelites do not rear pigs. Jesus did not answer the first and second prayers the demons prayed. The third prayer shows that animals can be possessed by dark spirits.

Mark 5:12–13 (KJV): “And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.”

Jesus answered their prayers. The demons that left a man went into two thousand swine and killed them immediately.
Let us see another strange prayer.

Luke 4:33–34 (KJV): “And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.”

Jesus was there in the synagogue. The priests, teachers, and even the people did not know Him. But the demons knew Him. This is how all children of light are recognised when they get into a place. If you are dirty, clean, and strong, they know you. So their prayer was “leave us alone. We are already here in this synagogue to pollute, hinder prayers, and steal blessings. Please leave us alone and let us continue what we are doing here.” But Jesus asked them to shut up and depart. This prayer is a satanic prayer. And you find this in the scriptures all over the place.

Matthew 8:29 (KJV): “And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?”

These demons know that a time is coming for their punishment, so they do not want to start that punishment early. “You know we have our time, but this is not our time. Let us continue our work until our time.” That is why we keep preaching to people that it is not possible to pacify a demon, or pacify the wicked. You cannot beg them and say, “Please, I am the only child of my mother. Stop drinking my blood. I will give you anything you want”. They do not recognise that. The only language they understand is violence and power. They respect power. They respect violence.

Somebody saw the Israelites that they were large and mighty. He knew that he did not have enough weapons or manpower to fight, and he did not want them to overrun his country. He did not use his weapons. So what did he do? He invited a prophet, took him to a high mountain, told him to look down upon the Israelites, and asked, “Do you see them? I do not want them to take over my country.

So, prophet, take money and begin to curse them now. I know that if you curse them, they will not be able to overshadow me.” That king knew the power of satanic prayer. That is why curses are classified as satanic prayers.

Anyone cursing you is actually praying to demons to harm you. All those people who rain incantations against people—those incantations are prayers for demons to go and harm somebody else.

There is somebody listening to me: the first prayer we will pray on this message will be the beginning of your unending laughter, in the name of Jesus.

Numbers 22:1-4 (KJV): “And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in the plains of Moab on this side Jordan by Jericho. And Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. And Moab was sore afraid of the people, because they were many: and Moab was distressed because of the children of Israel. And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now shall this company lick up all that are round about us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time.”

What did he do?

Numbers 22:5–6 (KJV): “He sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me:
Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.”

So that is why he invited Balaam.

Numbers 22:12 (KJV): “And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed.”

So God did not just sit down and watch what they were doing. He knew that the steps they had taken were going to be effective if they were not stopped. God knew that there was potency in the curses that Balaam could issue. So God intervened. Some of us do not take those things seriously. When somebody is telling you “it shall not be well with you,” you are just keeping quiet. No! You counter it. “It shall be well with me. I cancel your evil pronouncement. That shall not be my lot, in the name of Jesus.”

Numbers 23:27 (KJV): “And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.”

In spite of the fact that Balaam was asked not to go, he still went. So the king took him to another location.

Numbers 23:28–30 (KJV) “And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward Jeshimon. And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams. And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.”

Look at the satanic prescription Balaam gave to make the curses effective. Before he could start the curses, he asked for seven altars to be built and seven bullocks and seven rams to be offered on the altars. Seven altars. Seven bullocks. Seven rams. Then the curses would follow. By the time they run a person through seven altars, even if you escape altar one, altar two, altar three, up to altar six, and the day you are supposed to pray but you did not due to discouragement, that may be the day they will go to altar seven, and the person is now defeated.

I want your voice to be the loudest here as I make this prophetic decree:
Every enemy engaging seven altars, seven bullocks, and seven rams against your destiny, with a 21-fold amen, must die, in the name of Jesus.

1. Satanic prayers against my destiny; die in the name of Jesus.
2. Powers writing ‘I SHALL NOT HAVE REST’, on the surface of my glory, you are liars; die, in the name of Jesus.
3. Curses of wicked elders, against my life, backfire, in the name of Jesus.
