Topic: ENGAGING THE GREAT PHYSICIAN (3)
Text: Luke 4:18–19, Mark 6:13

I have been explaining to you for a while what it means when people call Jesus the Great Physician.

I was telling you that Jesus is called the Great Physician because:

• His diagnosis is always accurate.
• He heals with spoken words.
• His consulting hours are anytime, any day.
• He performs surgery without a knife.
• He heals infirmities that have no explanation.
• He healed with saliva, and He healed with sand.
• He gives out spare parts.
• He restores mind, body, and spirit. No physical physician can do that.
• He did not need to be present to heal the sick. The Bible said, “He sent his word” and that word “healed them and delivered them from their destructions.”
• He heals without any referral.
• He heals without charge.
• He heals through the laying on of hands.
• He has an unfailing prescription.

Like he said in Luke 4:18–19, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

All these I have been saying for the past 3 weeks are to tell you why He is known as the Great Physician.

If you believe that, raise your right hand and let your voice be the loudest here as you shout this loud and clear:

Great Physician: Jesus Christ, touch me now, in the name of Jesus.

So you have seen why He is called the Great Physician. That is not all.

He demonstrated that he is the Great Physician while on earth.

Sometimes He would say:

• ‘thy faith has made thee whole’ and His healing power would manifest.
• be healed.
• Go and wash yourself in the pool.
• Arise, take up your bed, and go thy way.
• Ephphatha (be opened).
• ‘Stretch forth your hand’, and the healing comes.
• ‘You foul spirit, come out’, and the foul spirit comes out.
• Thy sins have been forgiven thee.

Or sometimes, He would:

• lay hands on the person.
• spit on the ground and apply it to the eyes.
• Advocate the use of anointing oil (Mark 6:13).

Mark 6:13 (KJV) says: “And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.”

So because He is the Great Physician, He uses different methods to heal sometimes the same disease; simply because the causes of sickness are different.

Sicknesses can be caused by:

• Sin,
• curses,
• demons,
• carelessness,
• infectious diseases,
• inherited diseases,
• accidents, or
• the body parts may not be formed properly.

So Jesus, as the Great Physician, will send His axe right to the bottom and cut it down. Human doctors need to carry out tests to know what is wrong. Jesus knows what is wrong. He knows when the body needs new spare parts. He does not calm people down by giving them things that will make them forget the problem. He does not give the wrong prescriptions, and the body of the patient will begin to react. He does not forget His prescriptions like some doctors do.

I could never forget the on-the-spot miracle I witnessed some years ago. This lady was brought to the meeting, and prayer started. I can still remember the prayer point, which said:

Owners of evil load of sickness, carry your load, in the name of Jesus.

This woman was weak and sick and could only mumble the prayer point because her strength was gone. All of a sudden, she felt something trying to come out of her breast. We had said, “Do not open your eyes; keep praying.” So, she put her hand on her breast, and a long needle started to come out. She pulled out this needle, which was as long as a ruler. The surprising thing was that no blood came out. There was also no hole in the breast. That was how this woman started jumping around to praise God. The enemy had fired an arrow into her life. That miracle could only be done by the Great Physician.

I am praying for somebody here today: any hidden infirmity, conscious or unconscious, sponsored by witchcraft or envious enemies, shall go back to the enemies, in the name of Jesus. (a seven-fold amen).

Tonight, I want you to believe God, who has the power to do all things.

PRAYER POINTS

TOTAL HEALING (3)
Confession: 3 John 2: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

1. Lord, Jesus, let Your resurrection power come upon every department of my life now, in the name of Jesus.
2. Holy Ghost fire, visit me with Your signs and wonders, in the name of Jesus.
3. By faith, I touch the hem of Jesus’ garment and receive my total healing now, in the name of Jesus.
4. Any sickness in my body, be shaken off by fire, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every witchcraft gathering where evil is being projected into my life, be consumed and burnt down by the fire of God, in the name of Jesus.
6. My body, possess the Holy Ghost fire and consume every root of affliction in my life, in the name of Jesus.
7. I come against every spirit of affliction raging against my life by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus,
8. My Father, by Your word of restoration, let there be total restoration of good things that I have lost, in the name of Jesus.
9. O Lord, by Your mighty power, I subdue the power causing pains in my life, and I come out of it stronger and better, in the name of Jesus.
10. I decree that by the power in the blood of Jesus, every hereditary poverty running in my family shall become powerless over me, in the name of Jesus.
11. I disengage myself from every form of environmental delay of good things running in my foundation by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
12. Every demonic connection monitoring pains and sufferings in my life, break, in the name of Jesus.
13. O Lord, heal me, and I shall be healed, in the name of Jesus.
14. Every power assigned to waste my life, be wasted, in the name of Jesus.
15. My Father, let signs and wonders appear in every area of my life, in Jesus name.
16. Every physical and spiritual hindrance to my expected breakthroughs, be removed by fire, in the name of Jesus.
17. Every evil mark delaying my desired promised land, die, in the name of Jesus.
18. Every citadel of life failure in my life, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
19. Every agent of non-achievement in my life, lose your hold and die, in Jesus’ name.
20. I receive divine immunity against all sorts of sicknesses, in the name of Jesus.
21. Any evil weapon fashioned against my well-being, die, in the name of Jesus.

[Before Message]

1. Powers pushing my blessings to the back; your time is up; die, in the name of Jesus.
2. Powers that have vowed that I will not celebrate, your time is up, die, in the name of Jesus.
3. Strange battles, saying my story will not change; you are liars; die in the name of Jesus.

[After Message]
(Shout: I fire back, every arrow of infirmity, by the power of infirmity, by the power in the blood of Jesus.).

1. Owners of the load of infirmity, carry your load in the name of Jesus.
2. (Lay your right hand on your head) Holy Ghost Fire, pursue my pursuers, in the name of Jesus.
3. Powers assigned to renew my battles, die in the name of Jesus.
4. Any power prolonging my battles, I pull you down, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every witchcraft-sponsored infirmity, you are a liar; die in the name of Jesus.
6. Dream rats, dream serpents, assigned against my body, in the name of Jesus.
7. (Lay one hand on your hand and the other on your tummy) Every power that wants me to fail, be wasted, in the name of Jesus.
