Topic: CONNECTING TO THE GOD OF WONDERS
Text: Exodus 15:11, Psalms 136:4, Job 9:10, Acts 4:29–30

Exodus 15:11 (KJV) says: “Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?”
It is from this passage that we got that powerful praise-worship song.
What is a wonder? What do we mean by a wonder?
- An event that cannot be explained by the laws of nature.
- Something unusual that causes the beholder to marvel. You are just staring at it in wonder.
- Something far superior to anything formally recognised or forseen.
- God’s special act that cannot be explained or duplicated.
- Something that causes you to wonder.
God is a God of wonders.
I have shared this with you before. In 1990 or 1991, we were still at Old Yaba Road when this woman was rushed into the meeting, heavily pregnant. We started praying for her, only for her to say, “Sir, before you start praying, let me just tell you that this pregnancy has been in the womb for 2 years”. So we started praying.
All of a sudden, she fell into labour there. So I quickly said that they should take her to the clinic she was using. Beloveth the first thing she delivered was not a baby. It was a nylon bag first, then a male child.
I remember this today because some years ago, when I was in Canada, a young man came to see me and said, “G.O., I am going to introduce myself, and you will be shocked. Do you remember that woman you prayed for who first delivered a black nylon bag and then a child? I am that child”. I was surprised. He was now taller than me in height. I said, ‘Glory be to the name of the Lord.’ Now that was wickedness of the highest order.
How did a nylon bag get inside a pregnant woman? Wickedness. This is why I want your amen to be wickedly violent:
● Any power that has hidden anything in your body that you do not know about and is blocking your destiny, let the power die, in the name of Jesus. (A sevenfold amen).
That is why the song writer says, “Glorious in holiness and fearful in praises, always doing wonders”.
It was in one of our branches in the eastern part of this country. There was a lady who used to attend one of our churches there. She had this very huge hunchback. She would just come to serve God.
One day, one brother said to her, “I want to marry you.” The woman replied, “I do not think your family will agree”. The man said, “But that is what God wants me to do.” So they went to the pastor. The pastor asked the man if that was God’s will, and he said ‘yes’.
The brother went to his family members to inform them. They said, “No way! You cannot! Not in this family! But if you insist, we will not attend the marriage”. True to their words, they did not attend. This girl with the hunchback got pregnant. They were so poor that they could not afford to go to a regular hospital. So they went to a local midwife, which they could afford. The day of the delivery came. And you know those local midwives do not have any scanning machine. So the lady was told to push. She did, and a boy came out. Then the midwife said, ‘It remains one. Push again’.
So she pushed again, and a girl came out. Everybody was rejoicing and jumping about. Then the midwife said, “There is still another one.” The woman was told to push, and the third baby came out.
This is the miracle: immediately after the third baby came out, the hunch in her back disappeared. This very short lady, due to her hunchback, became tall. What kind of wickedness is this that they attached her hunchback to childbearing? So the Lord decided to get all the three children out in one day. This is why I want your amen to be sevenfold more violent as I pray this prayer now:
● Any power that has wickedly blocked your joy, with a sevenfold amen, kill them now, in the name of Jesus.
So God is a God who doeth wonders.
Psalms 136:4 (KJV) says: “To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.”
Exodus 11:9 (KJV) also says: “And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.”
God multiplies signs and wonders. He does miracles that will give birth to other miracles that will give birth to other miracles.
● I prophesy upon your life: Miracles that will give birth to other miracles, wonders that will give birth to other wonders shall manifest in your life, in the name of Jesus. (A sevenfold amen).
An old preacher was in a village to preach the gospel, but there was a man there who was always attacking preachers. His own trouble was that he had two small children who were deaf and dumb, and everyone knew him. But he still went to the crusade to attack the man of God. The man of God got there and prayed a short prayer in the name of Jesus. All of a sudden, the first child of the man pulled his father and said, ‘Haa’. The man looked at him and said, “Wow, you are talking”.
The second one too spoke, and the man looked at him and said, “You too are talking.” By the time the preacher took the altar call, this antagonist was the first person at the altar.
He came there to attack, but the God of wonders disgraced him by healing his two children without anybody moving close to them. Because those villagers knew those children, a lot of them surrendered to Jesus. So God used that healing to multiply signs and wonders in that place.
● I am praying for somebody once again: the signs and wonders that will multiply joy in your life will begin to manifest in your life now, in the name of Jesus.
Job 9:10 (KJV) says: “Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.”
The book of Daniel tells us that God does great signs and wonders. The Bible also tells us that God can smite with wonders like He did to Bar-jesus.
The Bible also makes us understand that God can make you a wonder. It makes us understand, too, that God can do wonders through you. The Bible also makes us understand that His name is called Wonderful, Counsellor. Wonderful means ‘full of wonders’.
The Bible makes us understand, according to Isaiah 8:18, that you and your children can be for signs and wonders.
But one major area we are going to this evening is that prayers can be prayed for signs and wonders to happen. So if you have never prayed for signs and wonders to happen in your life and therefore signs and wonders are not happening, it is your fault. Whoesoever asks receives; whosoever seeks finds. Whosoever knocks, the door shall be opened unto him. But let him ask in faith. A man without faith is like a storm of the sea thrown back and forth. Let not such a man think he can receive from the Lord. It is when you believe that you can receive.
● There is someone here today, when you pray this prayer that we want to pray seven times, what will happen in your life will change your story forever, in the name of Jesus.
Acts 4:29–30 (KJV) tells us this: “And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.”
The apostles prayed for signs and wonders to happen.
● I am praying for somebody here, the signs and wonders that will happen in your family, and you will become a wonder, let it begin happen now, in the name of Jesus. (a sevenfold amen).
Beloveth, there is the report of man. There is the report of a lawyer, a doctor, and a consultant, and then, there is the report of the Lord. Now, which report do you want to believe? God has sent rain from heaven before, and from the same heaven, He sent fire. God has sent whirlwind before from heaven. He has sent Manna before. He brought out water from the rock. God from wood made snakes. Or is it not a wonder that someone threw down a stick and it became a serpent? God made man from dust. It was God who buried Korah, Dathan, and Abiram alive.
He poured fire on the altar of Elijah after one minute of prayers. He put leprosy on Miriam’s skin. God withered the hand of Jeroboam, which pointed at a prophet. God turned Nebuchadnezzar, the boaster, into a lunatic. He first of all converted him to an animal. God sank the wall of Jericho. God flew Elijah out of this earth by the chariot of fire airlines. He took Shedrach, Meshach, and Abednego out of the fiery furnace. Jesus replaced the eyeballs of people by putting saliva and sand. Jesus reprogrammed the tongue of the dumb.
The power of God readjusted the legs of the crippled. He put His Spirit in Noah for him to know that the flood was coming. All the strange dreams Joseph was having were from God. In the desert, God provided light without electricity. His power touched Sarah to make her fruitful, Hannah to make her fruitful, and Elizabeth to make her fruitful. His Spirit gives utterances to speak in tongues. When Peter was shut in prison, His power opened the prison door for Peter.
When Paul and Silas were in that prison yard, the Spirit of God brought an earthquake to that prison yard, and the place began to shake.
Therefore, there is no power, nor spirit, nor any demon, nor any witch doctor, nor any witch, nor wizard, nor any magician, nor any sorcerer, any enchanter, or any diviner that can compete with the spirit of God. None. That is why we teach in MFM that if you can pray, there is no problem. But if you cannot pray, there is a great problem indeed. Your case is like somebody who has been hit by a truck.
MFM has been established for apostolic signs and wonders and to rescue people from the jaws of the lion.
Therefore, anyone fighting against MFM or fighting against any true member of MFM really does not understand what they are fighting against. They are fighting against merciless bulldozers from heaven, and they are writing courier letters to burial while alive.
Know these facts, beloveth. When the God of Wonders opens a door, no man can shut it. If the door is still shut, then the God of signs and wonders has not opened it yet. When He shuts a door, no man can open the door. If you try, it will slam on your face. There is no problem too hard for the God of Wonders to solve.
There was a woman who came to the 7-7-7 programme we had in Prayer City. She came with anointing oil. She was the only believer in her family, and she was from a Muslim family. They had warned her several times that she could not be a Christian. So they called a family meeting and disowned her. But she was abroad somewhere in Europe when she heard that a family member had come there to deliver a baby. So, as a believer, she went with gifts and clothes for the baby. When she got to this foreign hospital and mentioned the name of the person she wanted to see at the reception, the people were looking at her pitifully.
They asked, “What are you to this person?” She replied, “I am like an aunt to her.” Then they said, “We are sorry to tell you that she died while trying to have the baby”. She replied, “How about the baby?” They said, “The baby is there, but she is gone.” She said, ‘Okay, can I see the corpse?’ They said, “Oh yes. This happened not too long ago; she is still in the theatre.”
So she was taken there. The face of the corpse was covered with a cloth. She put her hand into her handbag, brought out her anointing oil, and said to the doctor, “Please, I know you said she is dead, but can I pour this oil into her mouth?”
The man laughed and said, “You can pour a gallon of oil into her mouth, but she is gone. So sorry.” So the woman forced her mouth open and poured the oil into her mouth. In a few seconds, the lady sneezed and opened her eyes. She said to the woman, ‘Aunty, what are you doing here?’ She replied, ‘You were dead before, but now you are alive’.
The white doctor was shocked. He said to her, “Excuse me, what is in that bottle?” She said “anointing oil.” The man asked, “What is anointing oil? Give it to me.” She said, “It is a prayer oil”. The man said, ‘No, this is black magic.’
He started calling everyone. Beloveth, this testimony that happened was what converted the whole family to Christianity in MFM. She had a testimony that gave birth to other testimonies. So there is no problem too hard for the God of Wonders to solve.
In the dictionary of the God of Wonders, the word ‘impossibility’ does not exist. The only area in which we have problems is our faith. Many people come to church but do not really believe much. Some do not believe anything can change.
If I jump from this pulpit now and say to one woman here, “Woman, by this time tomorrow, you will become a billionaire, she will say, ‘Excuse me, sir, are you talking to me? Me that borrowed to come here, how is that possible?’”.
The problem is our faith. But the stand of the Bible is this: with God, ALL things are possible. He did not say ‘some’.
No matter the strength of your opposition, one word from the God of Wonders will scatter them. There is no enemy too hard for the God of Wonders to destroy. There is no reproach too hard for the awesome God to remove, and when the God of Wonders wants to bless you, He has no respect for your age. He will make you great, regardless. This is the God of wonders.
A girl from this church wanted to travel abroad to study. Normally, you pay school fees, and after that, they will write to the embassy that you have paid. It is with that evidence and the money in your account that you take it to the embassy. This girl was fatherless, and her mother could not afford anything. She gained admission but had not paid anything. So she came to my office and said, “G.O., I want to go to the embassy. I want a visa to study abroad.” I asked, “Have you paid school fees?” She said ‘no’. I asked, “How much do you have in your account?”
She said ‘nothing.’ I exclaimed, “Ah.” She said, ‘Just pray for me and bring her passport out.” She added that she would do three days’ dry fast for the interview. I respected her faith. She went for the interview. The white man asked her, “Do you want to study in our country?” She said ‘yes’. He asked, “Have you paid your school fees?” She replied, “God will provide.” The man laughed and said, “You have not paid school fees, and you want to travel? I am sorry, I cannot give you the visa. How will you survive over there?” She looked at the man and said, ‘That cannot be true. You have to give me the visa.’
He asked, “But why?” She said, ‘There was a prophetic utterance that I would get it.’ The man asked, “What is a prophetic utterance?” She said ‘words pronounced by the prophet of God.’ The man asked, “Which prophet of God?” She said, ‘My father in the Lord’. The man asked, “Who?” She mentioned my name. The man said, “You are a strange girl. You seem to have so much confidence. You know what? I will give you the visa.”
When she came back with it, I said, “This is testimony.” . But that should not surprise you because, with God, all things are possible. Marriage, healing—all things are possible. There is no power in any dimension that can equal or compete with the power of the God of Wonders. He is not bound by time or space, and he is always at His best when man is at his worst.

- Lord, touch me with Your love and change me by Your grace, in the name of Jesus.
- Thou power of spiritual blindness, die in the name of Jesus.
- My spiritual ears, connect to the voice of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name.
- Father, give me true humility and meekness of the spirit, in the name of Jesus.
- Lord Jesus Christ, give unto me a sureness of purpose and clearness of mind, in the name of Jesus.
- Lord Jesus, come again now into my heart and cleanse me of all that is evil, in the name of Jesus.
- Father, teach me through my reading and reflection on Your word, in Jesus’ name.
- Father God, lead me to a deeper understanding of Your kingdom, in Jesus’ name.
- Father God, lead me to a greater awareness of Your love, in Jesus’ name.
- Father God, lead me to a clearer sense of Your purpose, in the name of Jesus.

- Power of the Most High, overshadow and incubate my life, in Jesus’ name.
