Topic: THE DISEASE CALLED BEWITCHMENT
Text: Galatians 3:1.

Like we discussed the last time, bewitchment is to spiritually influence a person by witchcraft powers. It is to send delusion upon a person, a thing, or a place. It is like casting a spell on someone. It is indeed a serious disease. Paul said this in Galatians 3. He was addressing believers.
Galatians 3:1 (KJV) says: “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?”
Bewitchment is terrible. I was sharing this in the youth church to tell them that bewitchment has no respect for your age, family, or degrees, whether your father is a priest, pastor, or catechist. It has no respect for your colour; it is colour blind.
At an immigration post, this young boy was about to enter a foreign country. At the border, you will meet immigration officers, and they can ask you any question. But we could hear what this young boy was asked. The immigration officer looked at the boy’s passport and said, “This is your passport. Please confirm your name and date of birth”. This young boy said, “I am Barrack Obama”.
The immigration officer looked up and started smiling. He said, “But this is not Barrack Obama on this passport. What is your name?” The boy replied, “I just told you that I am Barrack Obama”. It was then that this immigration officer realised that this young boy who entered into a plane from his country, got down in another country, and approached the immigration, at that point of entry, at the gate where he would get into another country, the enemy had made him mad.
Right at the gate of the place he was going to. The bewitchment had caught up with him, right at the edge of the new country.
● I am praying for somebody here today that: every bewitchment that is waiting for you at the gate of your promised land, that is programmed to stop you from getting to where God wants you to get to, let that arrow of bewitchment backfire, in the name of Jesus. (a sevenfold amen).
That was one situation. In another situation, this man was about to get a visa to a foreign country, and he was being interviewed. All of a sudden, he told them, “I am John the Baptist”. They replied, “You cannot be John the Baptist”. A bewitchment had caught up with him. When something happens to a man or a person and it seems as if you do not know what you are doing anymore, it becomes the disease called bewitchment.
Bewitchment means:
- casting a spell on people.
- to enchant or charm someone.
- to have control over somebody through witchcraft.
- to mislead a person through evil power. A man has five children at home, collects his salary, does not bring it home for the children, and goes somewhere to spend it on a strange woman who has been married to three different husbands, while those at home are suffering. He is being bewitched, and he has been enslaved by evil powers.
- to bring somebody under an evil influence. The person was behaving well before. All of a sudden, he finds this friend, and now the influence of that friend has brought evil and not benefit to his life.
- to capture or control somebody in an evil way.
- to suppress a person using charms, fetish powers, magic, or incantation.
- to lead astray by evil spells.
- to bring continuous evil to a person.
- to bring uncommon confusion upon a person with satanic power. The person is just confused, and the confusion is not normal.
- to push a person into error with an evil influence.
- to close somebody’s mind to the truth. The person would rather choose to believe a lie.
- to charm somebody to obey an evil command. It is a terrible thing, indeed.
I shared this many years ago. Deliverance ministers were running a person through serious deliverance. Day 1, day 2, day 3, no change. This deliverance minister kept praying with the person. When it got to day 21, this minister was going to give up. But then he decided to pray and ask God, “Father, why is this man not being delivered? He has been here for three weeks?” The Lord said, “Son, you should have asked me from the beginning. There is a ladder of darkness that has entered his life. Until he confesses it and it goes out, it remains the same”.
So the deliverance minister told the man, “There is something you have done that you have not confessed”. The man replied, “I have confessed everything, including the ones I did not even do”. The deliverance minister asked him to think again. All of a sudden, he remembered. One day, he went to a pyjamas party. If you have ever gone to such a party, you need deliverance.
This party went on, and all of a sudden, in the middle of the night, somebody there said, “Everybody, stand up!” As if the person was using a magic power, they all stood up. Next, he said, “All of you, gather around a circle!”
They did so. He said again, “All of you, bring out your drinking glasses!” They did so. The next command was “Everybody here: urinate into your glasses!” All of them did it. Then he gave another command: “Everybody, exchange your glasses!”. They all exchanged their glasses. One would have thought he would stop there. He said again, “Everybody, drink up!” and they all drank. Immediately he said that, one force carried him up and slammed him to the floor, and it was then that this spirit got out of him. So he drank the urine of somebody, and through that, an evil power entered his life. But everything started with a person who bewitched everybody.
● I am praying for somebody here: any power that wants to bewitch you to injure your destiny, shall die violently, in the name of Jesus.
Bewitchment is:
- making somebody be overwhelmed with evil wonder.
- to gain magical control over somebody.
- an evil manipulation of someone to cause them to do things against their will.
- a strong spell to keep a man down.
- casting a spell upon a wise man that will convert him to a foolish man.
- an evil force that causes spiritual blindness. He will just not see the light.
- making somebody entangled in a bondage that ordinarily he would not enter into.
- attracting somebody with the power of witchcraft. There are many men who have been bewitched into marriage. There are many women who have been bewitched into marriage.
- to attract somebody with an evil magnet for evil purposes.
- to take a man’s mind away from the Word of God.
- to hypnotise a person.
- seducing a person to do evil.
- to spiritually brainwash a person through evil enchantment.
Therefore, it is not something you joke with or toy with. It is a spiritual sickness in its own right. That is why you must pray against it, you must go against it, and you must decide that it must not operate in your life. That is why you must sit down and think, “Was there a time in my life that I behaved as if drunk or confused? And then I took decisions I should not take?”
It is a night to pray the anti-bewitchment prayers to clear away any form of bewitchment.

[Before Message]
Whatever will make me great that the enemy has collected from me in my dream, O God, arise: collect them back for me, in the name of Jesus.
[After Message]
- Power of bewitchment, assigned against my destiny, what are you waiting for? Die in the name of Jesus.
- By the power that pulled down Jericho, let my blockage die, in the name of Jesus.
- Battles killing good things in my family; you are liars; die in the name of Jesus.
- Every chain of bewitchment assigned against my breakthroughs, break, in the name of Jesus.
- Every book of generational failure bearing my name, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
