Topic: CAGED BY THE WOLVES
Text: Matthew 7:15, 10:16, Acts 20:29

Matthew 7:15 (KJV) tells us this: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Straightaway from the first scripture, we see that one category of wolves in sheep’s clothing is false prophets.”

Matthew 10:16 (KJV) says: “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”

We are living in the midst of wolves.
Acts 20:29 (KJV) also says: “For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.”

Meaning that the church is under attack by wolves who come to ravage the flock. Infiltrators from Satan are now invading the house of the children of God. Every true house of God is now under serious bombardment, and there are wolves all over the place caging and confusing people. In case you do not know much about wolves as a Lagos person who has never seen one, let me tell you a little about them. Wolves look like dogs, but they have longer legs, bigger feet, a wider head, and a long, bushy tail.

Wolves are expert hunters. They can smell animals from miles and miles away. One thing about wolves is that they howl in a way that frightens people. It is not like the bark of a dog; it is very scary. They are so terrible that they can live in any climate, either hot or cold. A wolf has an excellent vision, an excellent sense of smell, and an excellent sense of hearing. These three senses help the animal locate its prey.

I am describing this to you so you know what Jesus was trying to describe. A wolf can see and smell an animal 2 km away. Then, in addition to that, it has 42 dangerous teeth.

Added to that, it is one of the most gluttonous animals in the bush. It has a very large stomach. The wolf can eat as much as 10 kg of food at once. After eating that, it can go for two weeks or longer without eating anything else. That is why it is a very dangerous animal. Wolves live in family groups called packs, and they mark their boundaries with their urine. They destroy sheep and other livestock. Wolves hunt day and night. The lion is normally an evening-to-night creature, but wolves hunt anytime. Wolves eat practically anything they can catch, and there are so many wolves now ravaging the children of God.

Sometimes, they pay strange visits to people’s homes. They start visiting a man when they know his wife is not at home. They claim to be prophets, and prophetesses prophesying. The Bible says, “I send you as sheep in the midst of wolves.”

Perhaps you are here this morning and:

• someone has taken you to the river to bathe before. You have been caged by the wolves. He has probably washed your virtues away and stolen things from your life.
• sometime ago, you had problems, and you went to the cemetery? The Bible says that the dead and the living have no business. If you have ever been to the cemetery for anything other than burying somebody, you have been caged by these wolves.
• sometime ago, there was a man sleeping with you, and you noticed that the man had a padlock in his hand, which he was using as he slept with you. You have been caged by the wolves.
• something went wrong, and one time they asked you to bring materials from your body, which they put into a coffin, and it was buried. You have been caged by the wolves.
• there was a time your husband was not listening to you, then somebody gave you meat to put inside your thigh and hold it there overnight, then cook it for the man to eat so that he would listen to you. Both you and your husband have been caged by the wolves.
• you wanted a man by force, and you took your pant, put it in okro soup, and gave it to the man to eat. Both you and the man have been caged by the wolves.
• a prophet gave you a sponge to bathe with. Know surely that they are washing away your virtues.
• perhaps it was not the sponge you were given; it was a special soap, and you could remember bathing with that soap. What they were doing was washing away your favour and giving you hatred.
• they gave you holy perfume, which you were flitting on your body like mosquito insecticide. What they were doing was putting an aura around you that would chase away the angels of God and bring evil angels to trouble your life.
• you went to a prophet for prayer, and he said that for the solution to come, he must sleep with you, and you or your parents agreed. You have been caged.
• at a stage in your life, they put incisions in your head and body pubic area. You have been caged by the wolves. The wolves you are supposed to disgrace have caged you.
• you woke up to find out that your hair has been cut out of. You have been caged by the wolves.
• there were many times in your life when you were asked to go and pray, and you took off your clothes and prayed barefooted? You have been caged by the wolves. Barefooted prayers are wolves’ prayers.
• something happened, and they asked you to leave your clothes in the forest, and you walked far away from there. Know that you have been caged by the wolves.
• sometime ago, you threw food or some other materials into the water as a form of sacrifice. You have been caged by the wolves.
• you went to a prophet or church, and they kept you for days that you were under protection. You have been caged.
• you have been to a place before, and they asked you to enter from the back and not the front. You have been caged by the wolves.
• one time, when something was stolen, you were taken to a necromancer to state who stole it. You surely have been caged by the wolves.
• they have ever given you eggs to swallow whole, which you did, and they did not crack in your throat? Then you have been caged.
• eggs were used to rub all over your body, and when they were smashed, you saw certain things that they said came out of your body. It is a lie—you have been caged by the wolves.
• you can remember when you were pregnant or when your mother was pregnant of you, and an egg had to be hung somewhere that was not released until you were born or your baby was born. All of you involved have been caged by the wolves.
• they asked you to do a satanic party, which you really did not need but which you did, so that the people invited to eat could carry away your sorrow. You have been caged by the wolves.
• you arrived at a church, and before you could say, “Jesus is Lord!” they had shared bananas, oranges, and other fruits before service even started. You have been caged.
• you have used your head before to carry sacrifices. You have been caged.
• you have consumed things prepared by native doctors. That means eating their meals, and you have been caged.
• you went to a place where you were asked to put a bottle of water outside for 7 days so dew can fall on it before you drink. You have been caged by the wolves.
• you went to sleep with a man who brought out a handkerchief and was rubbing it on your private part. Then you have been caged by the wolves.

These are the ministrations of the wolves. The destruction they have caused in this country, only God, in His infinite mercies, can remove from the lives of people.

In the New Testament, you are your own prophet. The New Testament does not give room for the prophetic consultations that many people are carrying out. Prophetic consultations are unscriptural because they can lead to error. If God is not talking to you and is talking to someone else about you, then you have a problem indeed.

Many of us go to these people with incomplete deliverance who are pentecostal witches and wizards, and we say they are seeing. If you have been to a place and they say, “For this problem to be solved, give alms to the poor”, you are looking for trouble. Or they say, “Bring Epson salt; go and bathe with it”, You are looking for trouble. All these things are cages of the wolves. Do not deceive yourself.

And do not allow yourself to be caged. Somebody says “Come”, and when you get there to pray, they give you a candle to confess your sins on. Then, after doing that, they say they will enter into the spirit for you with your candle; you are already caged. This is why we need to do serious work here today. In all houses of God, all these wolves penetrate, looking for gullible people who do not read their Bibles, and they get caught easily.

What do we do to deal with the wolves?

1. The Bible says, “Be as wise as serpents and as gentle as doves.” The wisdom of the serpent is to strike and run away, to disappear under the green grass. You must ask for the wisdom of God to discern those who are talking to you.
2. You should soak yourself in the scriptures. Know your Bible inside out. Read it, meditate on it, swallow it, and digest it so that you are not carried away by every wind of doctrine. Now that there are plenty of pentecostal witches and wizards around, wearing suits and speaking in tongues, you therefore have to soak yourself in the Bible so that you will not be misled.
3. You need to have this winning mentality. For those people going to the Promised Land, their thinking put them into trouble. If you think you are low, then you are low. If you think you cannot make it, then you really cannot. If you think you are a grasshopper, then you truly are. Those people did not get to the promised land because their minds were not on getting there; they were on something else. To succeed as an overcomer, your thinking must change. It is all in the mind.

Your victory starts from the mind. Your defeat starts from the mind. If you will become a winner, it starts from the mind. David had a winning mentality. No wonder when prophet Samuel appeared and brought the oil and said, “Special announcement! This oil is looking for a head to fall upon. Any head here for this special oil to fall upon?” They brought all the heads of David’s brothers, but it was not for them. You must have this winning mentality to attract the oil of favour to your head. This morning, we have deliverance prayers to pray.

Some people have been caged many years ago, and they did not know. Some had familiar spirits, and the prophets told them that “you are free”, whereas they are not. Some have been pursued by all kinds of forces after they did some rituals, and they think they are gone, but these forces just rearranged their strategies. There are many people here who are like that. The devil operates a primitive trade by barter. It is give-and-take. Once you have been to his compound before to seek help, he is probably still in you now, unless you have cleansed yourself.

But knowing that you will cast them out aggressively, they operate quietly. The prayers we are going to pray here this morning are not only yoke-breaking but also prayers that will walk back years and dismantle the powers of darkness. Let the winners here decide in their spirits that they must overcome.

1. Power of the masquerades, assigned against my destiny, die, in the name of Jesus.
2. Blood of Jesus, destroy every libation poured against me, in the name of Jesus.
3. Serpents of my father’s house, die in the name of Jesus.
4. Dream serpents, die in the name of Jesus.
5. Power of fear, over my life, die, in the name of Jesus.
6. Powers assigned to donate my life; you are liars; die, in the name of Jesus.
7. Covens discussing my life, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
8. Who are you, great mountain? Before (mention your name), bow, in the name of Jesus.
9. Conscious cages troubling my star, break, in the name of Jesus.
10. Every power waiting for my obituary, you are a liar; die in the name of Jesus.
11. Goliath assigned against my progress, die in the name of Jesus.
12. Where is the Lord God of Elijah? Arise and let my problems die, in the name of Jesus.
