Topic: THE SCHOOL OF DREAMS
Text: Psalm 25:14; Job 33:14–18; Genesis 15:12–13; Matthew 2:11–15.

There is a purpose for these teachings. Dreams are natural to man. In fact, we can say they are part and parcel of our journey on earth. In these last days, those dreams are available to help us in our warfare, guidance, and planning to help us in this world that is far walking away from God. Dreams are important. The Bible makes us understand that dreaming is one of the surest ways of getting a fresh mandate from heaven.
In Psalms 25:14, we see this: Psalms 25:14 (KJV): ”The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.”
God has secrets to share with those who fear Him. It is only through the Holy Spirit and the power of God that you can get the true and correct interpretation of dreams, visions, and mysteries of God. There is no power outside the power of God that can tell the true meaning of dreams, no matter how simple the dream looks. Dreams can come from God, sometimes in the form of parables or illustrated stories, but they are mostly personalised encoded messages that are full of symbols that express the mysteries of God.
God takes our dreams from our life experiences or from biblical examples. He can use the dream to reveal himself to men. When you have a dream about danger, the reason God allows you to see it is so that you can avert that danger. When you have a dream about good promises, it is so that you can pray through them so that the promises can result in performance and fulfilment. This is a very serious situation.
Dreams can:
- guide you.
- correct you.
- teach you how to fight.
When you now have negative dreams, manipulative dreams, and confusing dreams, heaven is passing some information to you to restrategize and replan your warfare and deal with you.
● I pray for anyone in this gathering today who has been dreaming of falling down, being pursued, or being fed by strange agents, wherever you are, with the fire and power of the God of Elijah, receive your deliverance in the name of Jesus.
When dreams are fragmented, it signifies poor reception, maybe due to the dreamer’s sin or lack of prayer. It is disjointed, and so you do not get the meaning. God uses dreams in a variety of ways to answer our prayers. Solomon had a dream, and in it, he was given wisdom. He woke up and was wiser. He slept in one way, woke up, and was a new creature. God can radically rewrite our lives through the dreams we receive.
● I am praying for somebody here that the dream that will rewrite our story, that will change our story, shall manifest in our lives, in the name of Jesus. (A sevenfold amen.)
Do not forget that God can radically rewrite our story through the dreams we receive. So dreams have the power to:
- enlighten us,
- expand our vision,
- enrich us,
- restore us,
- guide us,
- deepen our understanding.
I have always told people in the youth church that I come from a poor home. It was by divine intervention that I had a scholarship to study abroad. Those who gave the scholarship were specific: “This scholarship is for 36 months, which is 3 years and not a day longer.” The second year into my PhD course, I had a supervisor who liked me very much and so said, “Daniel, you have been here for over a year. Go home and say hello to your people, and come back.”
He kept saying it every day, and it was changing my mind a bit. Then one night, as I slept, I had a dream that I saw myself at Muritala Muhammed International Airport and that I was to travel abroad. They called the flight number, and I took my bag and ran to the place. I got there and found the plane that was supposed to take me to London, flying off. I woke up, went to my supervisor, and said, “Sir, I am not going anywhere.”
He asked, “But why?” I replied, “Do not bother, sir, but I will not be going back.” It was a good thing I did not go. The Nigerian students who went home at that time, immediately after they got home, encountered a coup. The airport was closed. Before they could come back, some had lost their scholarships, and some could not even come back for studies. If I had not had that divine dream, I too would have been stuck.
● The dream that will catapult you to the next level shall manifest here in the name of Jesus.
It is important to know that God does not send dreams to embarrass, condemn, or confuse us. It is also important to know, according to Job 33:14, that God runs a school in the middle of the night—the school of dreams.
Job 33:14–15 (KJV) “For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;”
An active man running up and down cannot really hear anything. But when the person sleeps, it is as though he’s under spiritual anaesthesia. He cannot think much about anything else. Then God comes and begins to explain things to the person. Why?
Job 33:17–18 (KJV): “That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man. He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.”
All this God does through the instrumentality of dreams.
Genesis 15:12–13 (KJV) says: “And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not their’s, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them for four hundred years;”
God had told Abraham that his offspring were going to Egypt for 400 years. Unfortunately, Father Abraham did not take any action. I am sure that if he prayed and countered it like he prayed for Sodom and Gomorrah, God may have said, “Okay, let me not allow it.” This is a key point where prayer is needed. Do you remember when there was a time in your life you had a dream but you did not address it, and now it is manifesting and you are wondering about the outcome of the manifestation but then it was not dealt with?
Abraham took no action. So you can see here that God can use your dream to expose a satanic plan and give insight into a satanic assignment. This is a very serious matter. This person was invited to a party. Thank God he prayed before he left for the party. He had a dream that at that party, they were serving food. He noticed a short man came into the food of everyone and was dropping small snakes. After he had served everyone, he stood watching them.
Somebody in the party mistakenly overturned his cup, and all the liquid poured out. The creature waited for the person to get a fresh drink and then put a fresh serpent inside the drink. That was what the person saw in the revelation. So he got to the party, and it was as if he was the only one there. They kept bringing all sorts of things to him to eat and drink, but he decided not to eat or drink anything because of what he saw.
They kept asking him why he was not eating or drinking, and he said he was fasting and that the food should be packed for him. So he did not eat. Of the 27 people that were gathered here, as they all travelled back home, each vehicle had an accident, and everyone died apart from this brother, who did not eat or drink. The Bible says, “While men slept, his enemies came…” Raise up your right hand to the heavenlies and declare this loud and clear:
● Arrows fired into my life through dreams backfire, in the name of Jesus.
So God has designed dreams to reveal things to us. Sometimes, He reveals things from the dreamer’s past. The fact that you have had a terrible dream does not mean there is no solution. Some dreams only need intercession—to stand in the gap through prayers. Many dreams need wisdom and intelligence, and some dreams show us when we are wrong. They sometimes show us when there is danger. For example, Matthew 2 tells us about Mary and Joseph, the earthly mother and father of Jesus.
Matthew 2:11–12 (KJV) “And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.”
Matthew 2:13 (KJV): “And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.”
● May the angels of God appear in your dream, in the name of Jesus.
Matthew 2:14 (KJV): “When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night and departed into Egypt.”‘
That is why we keep saying God has a purpose for Africa; Jesus lived in Africa.
Matthew 2:15 (KJV): “And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.”
So as we are here tonight, various categories of people are here:
- There are people who have destiny dreams, but the enemy wipes them off, so you cannot claim them since you do not even know about them. If Joseph had not seen the dream of his greatness, he would have wasted his destiny. One prayer to pray without any compromise is:
My dream of greatness is manifested by fire! When you pray for it, the ones the enemy has wiped off that he did not want you to see, you will get them. - The enemy has converted the whole of their dream life to a battle field. Why? He wants confusion to continue in that dream so you do not see the right thing, so that life will be confused, worried, battered, and harassed.
- The arrows of the enemy in the dream have entered their bodies. They need to evacuate them.
- Heaven has interesting wisdom things to show you but no reception.
- Who says they do not dream. That is a tragic thing because, as you dream, the enemy wipes it off. Those dreams are your spiritual monitor, showing you what is happening in your life. God runs a school in the night—the school of dreams.

- Satanic noticeboard in my father’s house; catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
- Every enemy outside is using the enemy inside to fight me; your time is up; die in the name of Jesus.
- (Smite your head while praying) Stubborn infirmities inside my blood, die, in the name of Jesus.
- (Mention your name.) Arise and shine, your light has come, in the name of Jesus.
- Every witchcraft agent in my children’s school, planning to initiate children, die, in the name of Jesus.

- Powers of witchcraft appearing in my dreams, die in the name of Jesus.
- Voices of darkness, crying against me, shut up, die, in the name of Jesus.
- Every witchcraft airport on my roof, scatter in the name of Jesus.
