Topic: THE MYSTERY/COMPANY OF THE UNTOUCHABLES
Text: 1 John 5:17–19, Exodus 23:22, Zechariah 2:8, Psalms 105:14–15
Minister: Dr. Daniel Olukoya (G.O. MFM Worldwide)
It is good for you to understand this very well before we proceed into this year’s 70 days prayer and fasting program.
1 John 5:17–19 (KJV) says: “All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.”
Quality 1 of the untouchable is running away from sin, being very careful about his salvation, and disciplining himself. So the wicked one cannot touch him.
Exodus 23:22 (KJV) says: “But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.”
That is, you could get to a place; anybody who tries to fight you is fighting God. God will be an enemy to your enemy, an adversary to your adversaries.
Zechariah 2:8 (KJV) says: “For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.”
When you become the apple of God’s eye, he who touches you is writing a courier letter to destruction, a courier letter to disgrace.
Psalms 105:14–15 (KJV) says: “He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.”
Anytime in the scriptures that people touched the prophets of God, the reaction of heaven was always very violent.
Beloveth, what I am trying to explain to you this morning is this: there are certain groups of people that you need to upgrade yourself to, and they are physically and spiritually untouchable. If you touch them, you get into trouble. But I know that if I ask here, “How many of you want to be untouchable?” Everyone will raise up their hands to say they want to be untouchable. But if you want to be one of the untouchables, you have a responsibility.
We will look at some examples of men who are untouchable in life and death. Let us look at Father Abraham. Abraham was completely untouchable. On one occasion, a king tried to take his wife. The man suffered terribly. On a second occasion, although it was with his permission that the king took his wife away, the house of the household of that king was in trouble; problems came upon the palace. They returned the wife very quickly and asked for his prayers. On another occasion, some enemies trespassed and captured his brother. Abraham put together soldiers, defeated them, and rescued his nephew.
Abraham was totally untouchable. Why? His secret was simple: Abraham was untouchable because of the covenant that God formed with him. The beginning of that covenant is what is in Genesis 12. That covenant was a personal relationship that existed between Abraham and God which still exists, although Abraham has gone. God is still keeping His part of that covenant because, when Abraham was alive, he kept his part. There was an existing covenant God made with Abraham, and that covenant covers all the children of Abraham, spiritually and biologically.
Abraham has two kinds of children: spiritual and biological. If any of these two groups will maintain the terms of the covenant, then, as a matter of necessity, it must come to pass that they become untouchable. How did this happen? Let us see it in Genesis 12. I know there is somebody here this morning who wants to say “enough is enough” to all the powers after their lives.
Genesis 12:1 (KJV) tells us this: “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:”
The three things that God wanted Abraham to do:
- Get out from your country,
- Get out from your kindred,
- Get out from your father’s house.
Very difficult to do. He did not know the land or where God was leading him; he was already comfortable where he was, and God said, “Get out, leave the place, get out!”
A lot of people worry a lot when MFM prays about “father’s house.” Some people will never experience breakthroughs until they get out of their father’s house. Many get married and carry their father’s house into the marriage. Many get into business and carry their father’s house into the business. That is why we pray that prayer: “Power of my father’s house, get out, die!” They are very powerful. Abraham had to get out of it.
Then, after doing those three things, seven things would happen to him:
Genesis 12:2–3 (KJV): “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
- I will make thee a great nation,
- I will bless thee,
- I will make thy name great,
- Thou shall be a blessing,
- I will bless them that bless you,
- I will curse them that curse thee,
- In thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
The condition was for him to do those three things. The Bible says, “So Abraham departed as the Lord had spoken to him.” The covenant was to come out of his country, his kindred, and his father’s house if he must be untouchable.
For us now, it does not mean “travel away from your kindred or country.” It is now spiritual. Those spirits of that place must not control you or hold you down. So in spite of the prevailing situation of idolatry in the world, it was a very difficult situation, but Abraham stood out. God always loves me and women who stand out and who do not easily bow down to pressure, especially pressure to do the wrong things.
Many young men and women do things because “everybody is doing it.” Just because everyone is doing it does not mean you should do it. All the young people who are here must stand out and never say, “Everyone is doing it,” if you must remain untouchable. Your brothers, friends, and everyone else may be doing it, but you stand out. Once the Holy Spirit persuades you that it is wrong, do not do it. Abraham stood out and did not bow to the pressure of that time. God selected him, and he became untouchable. If a man has only 5 out of all those 7 blessings that God pronounced on Abraham, then he will become the envy of this world.
He said, “I will curse them that curse you.” That means that those who curse you shall be cursed. By who? By God. That means that those who cause you sorrow will be sorrowful. Those who offend you, God said, “…shall be offended.” God said, “I will trouble those who trouble you. I will harass those who harass you. I will punish those who try to punish you. I will fight those who try to fight you.” That is the clause of the untouchable in the covenant with Abraham. It means you are totally untouchable. How many people here want to be in this kind of relationship with God?
If you are in this kind of relationship with God, it means no power, physical or spiritual, can touch you. They will get into trouble. God went and repeated this promise through Isaac to Jacob in Genesis 27:29.
Genesis 27:29 (KJV): “Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.”
In Exodus 22, God said, “If you shall obey my voice, I will be an enemy to your enemy and an adversary to your adversaries.” That is why it is not good for two children of God to be quarrelling, because He said, “I will be an enemy to your enemy and an adversary to your adversaries”, and now the both of you are fighting. The bottom line is this: no one can make themselves an enemy to a true child of God and not suffer for it, because God will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.
If anyone allows themselves to be enemies of the children of God, it is like fighting the church; it is like fighting God. The person will get into trouble. If you are fighting the children of God or the church of God, cursing them, you really do not know who you are harassing. If you curse the people of God, you will be cursed, and God will fight you.
● I am praying for somebody here today: May you become the apple of God’s eyes, in the name of Jesus.
So it is the promise of God for everyone who is in covenant with Him. He will identify with you, He will trouble your troubles, and your enemies shall be His enemies. That is what happened in Acts 9. Paul was persecuting the Christians; he wanted to kill the Christians. Then a voice sounded from heaven: “Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” Saul was running after the Christians, but Jesus said, “It is me you are persecuting.” The question is, when are you going to get to this level with God? When will you become the apple of his eye? It is a decision you have to make for yourself as we go into this 70 days program.
You must make up your mind, Beloveth. There are many things a lot of people are doing, but you cannot do them. If you do them, you allow the enemy to touch you. Others may look for all kinds of things to make themselves look beautiful; they can buy all kinds of materials to paint on their bodies, but you cannot, because your beauty is the glory of God. Others may be practising sex outside of marriage, but you cannot, because the Lord, who wants to protect you, will demote you. Others may be chronic hypocrites: one leg in the church and the other leg outside. But you cannot, because you will be shot from both sides.
Others may be believers who just sit on the fence, not seriously here or there, but you cannot do that if you want to become untouchable. If you do that, you will be twice dead. Others may be gunning to dress to kill, but you cannot, because your dress is the armour of God. Others may attach all kinds of things to their bodies and all kinds of marine materials to their heads, but you cannot; your hair is your glory, and your head is the symbol of your destiny. Others may think they are very clever: grab a woman without the church being aware, no dowry, engagement, or wedding, yet living together as husband and wife.
But you cannot do that because you represent heaven here on earth. If you do that, you cannot be a part of the untouchables. Others may insult and disobey their spiritual fathers, but you cannot, because the Word of God says, “Honour your father and mother, that it may be well with you, and that your days may be long. So if you do not honour your father and your mother, both spiritual and physical, what the Bible is saying is that it shall not be well with you, and you will not live long. The father never even cursed him the way Elisha cursed Gehazi.
Others may be seeking worldly approval. It is when the people of the world praise them that they are happy. But you cannot be looking for that approval; the approval of men is vanity in heaven. Others may be playing spiritual bat’s but you cannot if you want to be untouchable. Others may come to church and be comfortable without the baptism of the Holy Ghost, but you cannot, because if you do that, you are a trunkless elephant, a weaponless soldier. Others may be doing what they like, but you cannot, because the destiny of millions is attached to your own if you want to become untouchable. The Bible says, ‘Sinneth not, keepeth himself.’
