Topic: BECOMING YOUR OWN DELIVERANCE MINISTER (2)
Text: Obadiah 1:17, Luke 4:18

Obadiah 1:17 (KJV) says: “But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.”

Luke 4:18 (KJV) says: ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives,”

Meaning that many are in captivity, they need deliverance. The day we started this message, I explained to you that the ministry of Jesus is threefold:

• To save,
• To heal,
• To deliver.

Deliverance means:

• breaking the chains of wickedness.
• Removal of curses.
• Removal of the evil platform set for you by your ancestors.
• Removing every embargo of darkness.

And we also said that every man’s mountain is the mountain of his ignorance, that there are so many Christians who do not know that as a believer, you should grow. You should come to a place where you can use your own hand to pray for yourself to get healing and deliverance. The Bible says, “These signs shall follow them that believe; they shall lay their hands on the sick, and the sick shall recover.” Apart from laying hands on yourself now to effect healing and deliverance, God is also looking for men and women that He can use as instruments of healing and restoration.

“….they shall take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will not harm them. They will lay their hands on the sick, and the sick shall recover.” There is a process called ‘personal deliverance.’ It is the process of personally setting yourself free from spiritual bondage, mental bondage, emotional bondage, physical bondage, negative patterns, evil strongholds, evil influences, embargoes, curses, jinxes, and spells, evil covenants, blockages, oppression, stagnation, and sicknesses.

If many understood this process, they would not run to the bar beach with that fake prophet, thereby preventing themselves from being messed up.

If many understood this process, they would have realised that they carry more power than the people they are asking to pray for them. If many understand this process, then the process of do-it-yourself personal deliverance MFM does would be very clear. MFM does not preach that people should put their lives in the hands of fellow human beings because they are pastors. We do not teach people to run from mountain to mountain. The greatest mountain can be your bedroom. We do not run from prophet to prophet. The greatest prophet is inside you. Failure to discover it will mean that you will suffer.

And until the ministry of personal deliverance is clear, which is what some people call the ministry of conflict, people continue to suffer.

A brother was always fighting his wife. Any small thing the woman did, he would rain blows on her. The woman would cry and cry. She had come from a home where she was taught that you should not hit your husband, so she would not lift a finger while he would bombard her. It got to a time that she was tired. So, one day as the man was raining blows on her, she just gave him a small blow on the chest, and she was surprised that the man fell down. When he fell, she then sat on him and dealt him blows.

The man was shocked. Again, there was another fight and the man started raining blows. The woman endured the blows, while aiming for his chest. She got to the chest, punched him there and he fell down. She then sat on him again, and rained serious blows on him. Beginning from that day, power changed hands. So anytime there was a fight, the woman would endure the initial blows before locating his chest to bring him down. In the end, the man was receiving more blows than his wife.

At that level, the man decided to report to the pastor to settle the quarrel so that fights would stop. He did not go to report to the pastor when he was beating the woman. On the way to the pastor’s house, just a few metres to get there, he saw the pastor and his wife in a boxing match. He looked at them and shouted “hei! I have to go and solve my own problem.” That is why the Bible says “looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith”, not “looking unto pastor” or prophet, or bishop.

When is Personal Deliverance Needed?

• When you suffer sudden attacks, is there no access to any deliverance minister where you are? Nobody to pray with you when you are? Some people feel like some power is choking the life out of them on their beds. Some hear voices commanding them to do evil.

I remember that sister who heard a voice at 1 am: “Caroline, get up, tear off your clothes, and walk out.” She got up, took off her clothes, and as she was stepping out, she heard another voice that said, “You are a child of Jesus; they cannot turn you mad like that.” She now screamed, “I reject that voice,” and started speaking in tongues.

That was when she got herself back. The moment the attack started, she was not herself. Sometimes, sudden depression comes upon a happy person. The person has been happy, and all of a sudden, a cloud comes upon him or her, and they get depressed. Those are situations where personal deliverance is called for. If you allow them to settle, they will invite their younger brothers, and it will be more difficult to dislodge. As soon as they land, you deal with them. Then maybe after dealing with them, you can then find somebody to pray with you.

That initial dealing with them is personal deliverance. We are talking about sudden attacks. Some just develop needless fear. This wind of sudden fear just blows on them. At that level, personal deliverance is needed. Somebody needs to say, “You, the spirit of fear, I think you just came to the wrong address. Now get out of my life in the name of Jesus.” And you refuse to keep quiet until it leaves you. Sometimes, some people experience paralytic wind where they cannot raise their hand or leg after a sudden wind blows on them. This is a very serious matter.

Before my father went to be with the Lord, he told me something. He said that one day, he woke up and sat on the bed. He was not sleeping; he actually saw a short creature moving into the room with a big stick and mentioned all his names given on his naming ceremony, including the ones we did not even know, and then it said, “I have been asked to come and paralyse you.” He was staring at this thing. Before he could open his mouth, the stick in the hand of this creature landed on his right hand, and the hand went down. He could not use it anymore. He could not use his right leg too. He could not move. Quickly, he rushed to his prayer water, poured it on the place, and began to pray ‘back to the senders’ prayer. It took one hour for the hand and leg to get back to position.

I am praying for somebody here: any power sending demon idols to you, any power sending spiritual hired assassins to you, with a sevenfold amen, destroy their power in the name of Jesus.

You see, I am giving you practical examples so that you know what to do. Sometimes, somebody is in an air-conditioned room, and suddenly there is this strange heat that descends on him, and the person starts sweating. It is an attack. For some too, a cold chill comes upon them. I have seen somebody put their whole body into an iced block. It is an attack. You should know how to deal with it. The pastor will not be there with you at night. Nobody will carry the service to your room. You need to become your own deliverance minister. Sometimes, people just experience a heavy head. The head just becomes big, and it feels as though the size has doubled. It is an attack. Do not let it settle.

If it settles, more problems will follow. Sometimes, people experience unexplainable shaking of the body. It is an attack. Sometimes, somebody is eating, and midway, they begin to find strange objects in the food that were not so at the beginning, like insects, parts of the body, pins, and human hair, and although you have not put them in your mouth, you are just seeing them. The reason you are even seeing them at all is because God wants to have mercy on you. So technically, before the Holy Ghost caused them to materialise, you might have swallowed some of them. You need personal deliverance to vomit what you have swallowed. Some people sleep, wake up, and find out that a part of their hair has been shaved off.

They look and cannot find the hair on the bed. It is not something to keep quiet about. It is first personal deliverance you call for before you call for other help. Listen well, oh, for many of these attacks, beloveth, if you allow 24 hours to pass before you begin to attack them yourself, it becomes more difficult. You have eaten all kinds of things in your dream, then woke up and took no action throughout that day, then in two days’ time you now say, ‘I remember I ate pounded yam in my dream’ or ‘I remember I drank okro soup in my dream.’ You have allowed them to settle, and the Bible says that when they come in like that and they settle, what they do is invite more wicked spirits to ensure that they are not driven out again. This is why personal deliverance is called for.

Physical idols are sometimes sent to people. Demon idols come to people. YOU NEED TO DEAL WITH THEM. They send physical and spiritual snakes to people. Some are fortunate to physically see the snakes. A woman was talking to me the other day. She just moved into a flat. For the first two weeks, she faced no problems. By the third week, she heard some movement in her ceiling, and she was scared. It was in the night. She pointed to the ceiling and said, “I do not know who you are, but I have been here for three weeks, and nobody was making any noise in this roof. By the power of the God of Elijah, receive fire!” All of a sudden, the ceiling broke open and a giant python dropped into the sitting room. She closed the door and ran out. She went to call her neighbours, shouting, ‘Snake in the room! The neighbours armed themselves with cutlasses and came inside, but no snake. It was gone; it disappeared. So, it is a spiritual attack; it is not physical. This is a very serious matter.

I know a woman in this church. She was number five in hierarchy at her place of work. Then, she was promoted to the top as number one, and her office was at Marina in Lagos. She was on the fifth floor. The man who was meant to be in that position said to her, “You will not last here, since they have given you my position,” to which the woman replied, ‘Jesus gave it to me, so I will last.” One day, she was sitting at her desk working when suddenly she felt something cold around her legs. When she looked, she saw a snake coiling around her legs. She was scared. She did not want to jump up because she felt the snake would bite her. So, she pressed the bell so that the messenger would come in. The messenger came in, looked to where she pointed at, and ran out. Then she said, “I have to take my destiny into my hands.” She remembered that she is a member of MFM, and she then shouted, “You serpent of darkness, my life is not your candidate; I command you to die.” She said that when she made that statement, a small electric current passed through the body of that serpent and its eyes went wide open. The snake died right there.

I am praying for somebody here today: any power sending any evil creature to you, the creature shall go back to the senders in the name of Jesus.

Some people just develop heat in the head, and if that heat is not addressed, it will now graduate to insanity. Sometimes, people are fed in their dreams with what they would not normally eat, and it calls for personal deliverance.

Sometimes, it is sudden pain in the body, at an hour when the person cannot call for help. These are attacks. Sometimes, it is periodic sicknesses and strange dreams. Many who are listening to me this morning have been attacked like this at one time or the other. If you were attacked when you were a baby, the arrow is probably still in you. If you were attacked before you were born again, the arrow is probably still in you, if you have not yet taken it out. If you were attacked when you were ignorant, the arrow is probably still in you. It is personal deliverance that sends the arrows right back to the senders. So personal deliverance is needed when you suffer sudden attacks.

WHEN IS PERSONAL DELIVERANCE NEEDED?

• when you have no access to a deliverance minister.
• when your attacks are too constant, so constant that some people are even afraid to sleep.
• when your experience is too personal or shameful to share, so you deal with it yourself. When an experience is too shameful, you need personal deliverance.
• When an attack happens at odd hours.
• When you are being messed up by prophets or by strange deliverance ministers to bring money. They are taking money from those who are abroad that have problems. If you do have spiritual problems and you think the escape is to run from your location to another location, immediately you leave your present location, and the witchcraft powers would check in with your luggage. And the environment in those places is usually so spiritually cold that spiritual attacks become amplified, and so they call people here to pray for them. Then, those ones will say, ‘The kind of prayer you need costs fifty thousand naira; send me the money, and I will pray.’ And because those ones want freedom, they send them money. But if those people understand a little bit of personal deliverance and they understand the deepness of the words of Jesus that say, ‘You shall lay your hands on the sick and they shall recover,’ they will understand that sickness is spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental.

You need personal deliverance:

• when you want to avoid locating counterfeit ministers.
• So that you will experience continuous freedom.
• So that you can charge your spirit, soul, and body with fire.

That personal deliverance will empower you. Once you start, the enemy will be afraid of you. You will no longer experience constant sicknesses. So, this is an area you need to get involved in as quickly as possible. Do not hand over your destiny and life to a human being. My friend, is it not shameful that at the age of 40 or 50 years, a woman is using a sponge to bathe you by the river because there is a problem and you do not know how to solve it? This is what we are talking about. Now listen to me carefully: unto every physical organ, there is a spiritual counterpart. That is, we look at you in the spirit realm and see that your height, face, and everything are the same.

Your head is the symbol of your destiny. If it is being attacked spiritually, your destiny is under attack. Your hair is the symbol of your glory. If it is being attacked spiritually, your glory is under attack. Your hands are the symbol of your labour. If in the spirit realm those hands are tied, even if you are given twenty billion naira here, it will come to zero.

Your blood is the symbol of your life. So, losing blood in the dream or something being injected into the body is not something to dream about and say that you will sleep back immediately. You need to start immediately and take your blood back because it is your life. Your legs are the symbol of your dominion and possession. If something goes wrong with them, you begin to get dispossessed. Your heart is the symbol and seat of your soul. If it is under attack, it is your soul that is under attack. Once something goes wrong with any of your organs in the spirit realm, it will definitely manifest physically. Herein lies the mystery of manifestation and symptoms that science cannot detect. Herein lies the mystery of drinkers of blood and eaters of blood. Forces that spiritually attack the organs in the body and the manifestation is seen in the physical. This is where this kind of deliverance is needed immediately.

I have shared this before. It was 1986. This woman brought her son for prayers. The boy looked so lean, and he was her only son. She took him to England to look for help; she took him to various hospitals and churches. The boy was so sickly that he had to be assisted in walking. So, she brought the boy, and they sat down before me. All of a sudden, I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit, Who said, “This woman who brought her son to you is the enemy.” I said, ‘Enemy?’ Then I said to her madam, ‘Look at me straight in the eyes.’ She looked. I then asked, ‘What has this boy done to you?’ I was expecting to receive a slap. She replied, ‘Hmm. So, you can see. Okay, I am sorry, sir. I belong to a coven, and it is their rule that everyone must donate their first child, and all the 20 people in the coven have donated theirs, so I am the last person to donate. Sir, unfortunately, this boy has been donated.’ She said that they had eaten his liver. But a medical test ascertained that liver function was 100% perfect and kidney function was also 100% perfect.

So, medicine could not detect it because there is no x-ray that can detect demons. There is no scan that can detect an evil spirit. Then I said to her, ‘Madam, how can we recover the liver that has been eaten?’ She replied saying, ‘Only by prayer.’ Then we started aggressive, unsanitised, commanding prayers. I said, “Father, I command all these people in the coven to appear here right now, in the name of Jesus.” And we started praying and praying. And you know what? They started to appear one by one. The authority of the believer is powerful. But if you do not use it, it is your fault. They came and were looking aggressive. I said to them, ‘It is liver you ate; begin to vomit it now.’ They replied, ‘But it is a covenant.’ I said, “By the blood of Jesus, we break that covenant.” The good news is that that brother from that day became a professor of mathematics. But he would have been wasted.

PRAYER POINTS.

1. Powers saying that my testimony will not manifest, you are liars; die, in the name of Jesus.
2. Powers mocking my prayers, you are liars; die in the name of Jesus.
3. Battles standing between me and my promised land, die in the name of Jesus.
4. Every garment assigned to kill me slowly, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
5. (Pray this 3 hot times) Powerhouse of my enemies, catch fire, in the name of Jesus. (a sevenfold amen).
