Topic: THE MINISTRY OF PERSONAL DELIVERANCE (13)

We have covered several aspects of this topic. We started to discuss another layer of personal deliverance last time, which is “Spiritual Environmental Sanitation”.

The pastor will not live in your house; the deliverance minister will not stay in your compound. So part of personal deliverance is to know how to take charge of the environment spiritually. But before we go further, there are seven things we should note, critical to what we will discuss today:

1. If Satan does not attack you, it is because he is pleased with what you are doing. That is why he is leaving you alone. If both of you are going in the same direction, there will be no collision, but if you are coming in opposite directions, there will always be a collision. Understand this point very well.
2. Our God is real, available and adequate. There is no power, force, personality, or energy of any dimension that can counter the power of God. That is why when God appears in your battlefront, the battle is over.

● I am decreeing upon the life of somebody here today that Jehovah, the mighty Man of War, will appear at your war front, in the name of Jesus. (a sevenfold amen).

3. Strangers to prayer are strangers to power. You cannot acquire spiritual power without prayer.
4. Fear is unbelief in disguise. Fear and faith are mutually exclusive. Once you entertain fear, no faith. Once faith jumps in, fear jumps out. That is why Jesus said, “Fear not” and “Have fear in God.” That faith will chase out fear.
5. Worry is faith in the devil. Worry will keep you busy but get you nowhere. Most of the things people even worry about never come to pass. The Bible says, “Be careful for nothing…”
6. Anyone can make a mistake, but fools practise mistakes.
7. When it is hard to pray, then it is time to pray hard.

Deuteronomy 7:26 (KJV) says, “Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.”

There are certain things that cannot be brought into your house because it will make the place cursed, and many times, environmental sanitation is to remove those things that are an abomination in the house.

There is something known as spiritual environmental sanitation. It means to maintain the purity of your spiritual environment.

Environmental sanitation is actually part of personal deliverance for you. It is biblical and spiritual for you to take authority over your environment.

Some missionaries were lost in the desert. So every night, they read Psalms 91 before going to sleep, and the next morning, they would again take a compass to try to find their way. They did this every day until one day they were tired and did not read the Psalms or pray. It was that night some robbers came to them, armed. They were scared. To their surprise, the robbers said, “Calm down. We are not here to steal from you; we wanted to do that before, but not anymore.

Tell us the secret. We have been following you for seven nights. Every night, there is a wall of fire surrounding your tent. Today, there was no fire. What happened? What is that fire? Why did we not see it today?” It was then they remembered that they forgot to pray or read Psalms 91. So, environmental deliverance is spiritual and biblical.

● I am praying for somebody here today: May every environmental witchcraft in your place of habitation scatter unto desolation, in the name of Jesus.

Do you know that you could bring a material into a house, and it brings bad luck into a house? Do you know that you can buy things as decoration and put them in the house, and it puts the house in bondage?

There is something known as ‘territorial spirits’, which are in charge of localities. Environments can be spiritually defiled. Evil covenants can tie down a location. You get to some places, and all you see are low buildings. No one builds tall buildings.

In some places, all you see are buildings abandoned; it is the work of territorial spirits. A covenant has tied that particular location down.

A location can be under siege, and except if they are delivered, there will be no progress.

One of the reasons Apostle Babalola was respected is because once he got to a place, they would take over and chase away the landlord spirits. A land can be defiled by sin and evil practices. Anywhere people are practising evil, the place is under attacks already. Whether you like it or not, there are some particular locations that evil spirits attach themselves to, and if you put your business or your house in such a place, then you have a battle to fight.

It is like that, my friend, that medical doctor that said he did not want to practice medicine anymore and started a poultry farm.

He did not know that on that land where he sited his farm, there used to be an idol that the previous owner worshipped every year. The owner of the idol died, and his children buried the idol under the ground there and sold the land to my friend. My friend used to go to disco churches then, where all they did was dance and blow whistles.

Then, he began to raise his chicks. But he noticed that they were just dying anyhow, sometimes up to 200 in a day. It was until they brought in prayer warriors who discerned that they discovered that the idol was always offered one chicken per year. But the idol was a thief and was taking, like, 200 or 300 at once, instead of just one. Location!

● I am praying for somebody here today: If your business or house is presently located in a possessed area, I stand as a servant of the Most High and decree deliverance upon that business or house, in the name of Jesus.

For lands to be sanitised, it requires spiritual warfare. Curses or covenants can block the spiritual sensitivity in a place. It can block blessings. When an environment is polluted, it can keep a person away from being sensitive to the Spirit. You get to the place, and all you get is bad dreams, but when you leave there, your dreams are okay. Somebody can get pressed on their bed in the night in such a place.

So although your battles are personal, other battles are territorial. Once you understand the principle of personal deliverance, you receive freedom from fear, attacks and confusion everywhere you go. Not all demonic attacks come from people; some come from the environment.

The mystery is that God can bless and curse an environment. Jesus said, “If you go to preach in one city and they chase you away, shake the dust off your feet there.” If a missionary has shaken dust off his feet in a location and that is where you come from, everyone in your town needs prayer because that dust is not good.

The beautiful thing, though, is that prayers can cleanse and reclaim an environment. The environment can be set free from bondage. Sometimes, we need to go there with prayers of judgement because the Bible says, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgement, THOU shalt condemn.” You are the one who will issue the justice.

● I am praying for somebody here: every tongue rising against you in judgement from anywhere: condemn them, in the name of Jesus.

This is why idol worship is very bad. The worship brings an aura of darkness over an environment. There are people here who, where they come from, there is an altar or shrine at the back of practically every house. I even know a place in this country where, in the house of the idol, there is AC to cool their heads. You cannot come from such a place and think there is no battle to fight.

So, we Christians are agents of environmental deliverance, and when there is environmental deliverance, there will be environmental blessings. If that deliverance does not take place, the place becomes oppressive. It will not support spiritual growth. The person will not be able to move forward, and it will be affecting effective prayers. That is why we must sometimes key into the mystery of the anointing oil. It is a symbol of power and the Holy Spirit.

● I am praying for somebody here today: every power contesting for your environment shall be disgraced, in the name of Jesus.

To get involved in environmental deliverance;

1. You must be born again. New birth is compulsory. The Bible says, “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away: behold, all things are become new.”

The greatest headache God has with the church is that many who come to church are not born again. How can you say you are born again, yet you are drinking, smoking, committing fornication and adultery, coming to church with strange women by your side while your proper wife is at home, and going to all kinds of parties to mess yourself up there?

There was one man God brought to MFM. When he came, he had nothing. He also had one wife then. All of a sudden, God began to bless him when he began to pray.

When his blessing came, he decided that he wanted more wives. So he left MFM and went to another church. We did not see him again. When one of us saw him sometime later, we asked him, “Daddy, we do not see you in church again.” He replied, “I am not coming to your church again. That your G.O. is always making me feel guilty when I come because he keeps saying I should not marry more wives when I want more.”

So he married two more wives. The tragedy was that he and the two wives died on the same day. God brought him to a place of prayer to protect him and his blessing, but he refused to be born again. When you see people shouting and fighting on the street, they are not born again.

When unbelievers say to you, “And you call yourself a Christian,” or someone sees you and says, “If your church is the only church, I will not go to church again; your behaviour is bad,” then you are not born again.

If you stand and say, “You environmental witchcraft: hear the Word of the Lord: scatter!” they say, “We have heard you. Let us cross-check.” Then they call their headquarters. And when they cross-check that such a person is a sinner and has no right to command them, they stay put. This is why you must change; your life must change.

2. You must be a prayer addict. Let prayer be your oxygen. The prayer warrior has a lot of power. The prayer warrior is above the dreamer, the visioner or the one prophesying because with his prayer, he can cancel any dream, vision, prophecy, or decision made about him. This is a serious matter. You must be a prayer warrior.
3. You must be a Bible addict, addicted to Bible reading, addicted to the Word of God. Read the Bible, understand it, meditate on it, memorise it, eat it the way you eat food, let the Bible be your daily oxygen, and then you can stand and say, “Thus saith the Lord: you are not supposed to be in this environment; therefore, get out now!” and they will obey you. “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and any tongue that rises against you, THOU shalt condemn.”

PRAYER POINTS

1. Powers that are saying my star will not shine, you are liars; die, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every curse of bad luck issued against me, break, in the name of Jesus.
3. God of Elijah, what are you waiting for? Make a way for me by fire, in the name of Jesus.
4. Blockers of my joy, blockers of my joy, blockers of my joy; die, in the name of Jesus.
5. The serpent that has eaten fat in my father’s house, the serpent that has eaten fat in my mother’s house; catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
