Topic: THE SECOND COMING OF THE ATTACKER
Text: Matthew 12:43-45

Listen to me very carefully. If you do not listen to sermons normally, listen, because this is the reason for so many people dying untimely. When people run to church for issues, and the issue later kills them untimely, this is why.

Matthew 12:43-45 (KJV) says: “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.”

Unclean spirits do not come out of a person without a fight. They just do not wake up in the morning and decide to leave. They do not leave willingly. It is until when they come under fire to depart from a person, that they go out.

They now wander about looking for rest. It is in scriptures that we get to know that demons can get tired, seeking rest.

This is why I am issuing this decree right now and let your amen be tenfold strong:

● I decree by the power in the blood of Jesus, that any power that does not want you to have rest shall lose their rest, in the name of Jesus.

It is in this deep passage that we learn that there are levels of wickedness.

These wicked spirits will bring seven more wicked spirits. So wickedness has levels. Like I always say, a thief that steals your medicine is a wicked enemy. But the one that steals your health is more wicked.

Somebody who steals your books is a wicked enemy, but the enemy that steals your brain is a more wicked enemy.

The enemy that steals your bed is a wicked enemy, but the enemy that steals your sleep is a more wicked enemy. The enemy that steals your Bible is a wicked enemy, but the enemy that steals your salvation is a more wicked enemy.

So wickedness has levels. We have an obstinate enemy who is a stubborn fighter.

Satan does not plan to lose any ground for any reason. They do not like to let human beings go. They do not like losing their patients and when they know they are bound for failure, they reinforce.

They try to stage a comeback and plenty of breakthroughs are lost as a result of that comeback. When you say “get out!”, they go, but do not go far, they roam around observing and monitoring your life. Are you on more fire? Are you reading your Bible more? Are you more serious?

Are you focusing on Jesus? If you weaken your devices, they come back. When they come back, they do not come alone, they bring seven more wicked spirits.

So the deliverance is harder to perform. These wicked spirits are determined entities, and partners in destruction. They understand that there is strength in numbers. When they reinforce, they worsen people’s cases and I want you to understand what I am saying.

There are plenty of bad spirits moving around, waiting to return.

Anytime I see this hymn, I always wonder that a white man wrote this hymn:

1. ‘Christian, seek not yet repose,’
   Hear thy guardian Angel say;
   Thou art in the midst of foes:
   Watch and pray!’
2. Principalities and powers,
   Mustering their unseen array,
   Wait for thy unguarded hours:
   Watch and pray!’
3. Gird thy heavenly armour on.
   Wear it ever, night and day;
   Ambushed lies the evil one:
   Watch and pray!’

It is dangerous to expel the bad spirits without bringing the good spirits. That is why we emphasise on baptism of the Holy Spirit. If you have not yet received it, you better pray for heaven for baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

Evil spirits find it so easy to enter an empty life. So spirits behind problems that have gone away from people, when they join the church or go for deliverance are always wandering; wanting to return. They say “I want to return to my house”. He is taking the life of man as his house because the body, spirit and soul of man is like a house, and the enemy is not happy when cast out.

They do not like to go into dry places, the human life is a fertile place. Relapse is worse than the original disease during comeback of the enemy. So when they launch a second coming, a person who lost just one demon will now get seven more. They worsen the situation of the person.

It would now look as though it was better to leave the person with one demon, because the person now has eight demons to fight. This is a very serious matter. All true ministers of God know about these counter attacks. Because of some defeats, the enemy launches attack again at ministers of God.

Sometimes, powers behind people’s problems go back in a rage and question them: “why did you do this?” That is why you should pray for pastors. A demon gets out and reports to Lucifer. When Lucifer questions him, he explains that it is one deliverance minister that cast him out. Another demon reports that same deliverance minster as the person who cast him out.

What he will now do to such a person is to launch a counter attack. That is why sometimes at the end of our meetings, we pray “Any power that will what to attack me as a result of my prayers here today, die.”

You cannot fire a live bullet at the enemy and think he will fire blanks at you. During counter attacks, if you open the doors, they come back. If God has brought you here to a ministry like this and you begin to experience deliverance, healing and transformation, but at that time the enemy was harassing you, you were praying hard; when you have got some relief, you begin to look into what does not concern you, instead of looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, the enemy will launch a counter attack against you.

The Bible did not say “looking unto pastor” or “looking unto the general overseer”, it says “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith”. So when you come and lose your focus, you are writing a courier letter to the second coming of the attacker and this is where a lot of people get it wrong.

By the second coming, by counter attacks, we mean:

• Retaliation by the enemy,
• Fighting back of the devil,
• The enemy challenging your victory,
• The enemy trying to capture the territory lost to it,
• Reinforcing against you,
• Bringing back wicked spirits,
• The enemy looking for open doors,
• A fighting back of the enemy.

Satan fights back to get back what he has lost. This is why a lot of people lose their blessings.

Unfortunately, some come to a wonderful meeting like this but because they cannot see, the enemy says “I will wait for you at the car park” and there he launches a counter attack with somebody to provoke you. And because you cannot see, you lose your temper and once you answer back, you lose your blessings.

Normally he does not come to a gathering like this, he will wait for you to leave that gathering and get back home, so he can launch counter attack to steal your blessings. The enemy tries a second coming upon you when:

• you have had a major breakthrough.
• when you overcome a powerful strongman.
• they know you will fulfil your destiny dreams and your destiny is a danger to them.
• you overcome a major demonic stronghold.

Beloveth, because of the second coming of the attacker, when you have prayed and received breakthroughs, you better do not relax.

You need to fight to possess your possession, fight to retain that possession, fight to barricade that possession.

• When you have challenged their territorial power.
• You have destroyed their central power troubling your life. Elijah disgraced the prophets of Baal and immediately, there was a counter attack against him by Jezebel.
• When your destiny is considered strong and great and about to be fulfilled, these powers will say “with the way this person is going, very soon he will become very dangerous to our kingdom” and then they mark the person. When they see that with the way you are going, you are going to pull down their final stronghold and you are beginning to challenge them, they will fight you.
• When they know your breakthrough will affect their kingdom as a business person.

When they know Lucifer will punish them for losing their accommodation. The devil says “if I allow this woman or man to go the way he or she is going, they are going to be building churches and houses everywhere.” If that kind of person starts a business, the enemy will fight the business.

This is why the business world is one of the strongest spiritual warfare centres. The enemy wants to control money, so he does not want God’s children to have money.

This is why they launch a second attack.

• When you discover yourself. They fight you hard not to discover yourself.
• unfortunately, you carelessly allow yourself to be initiated into witchcraft or familiar spirits, and you do not even know that you have been initiated, you need to fight hard.
• When your parents have written promissory note about your life. The tragedy is that these attacks succeed. This is why we need serious prayers.

When the enemy launches a second attack against you and succeed, why do they succeed?

1. When you are living in a known sin.
2. When you have a bad eating habit. You eat anywhere, anyhow, any day. You eat at any party anywhere.
3. When there is prayerlessness. More prayer, more power, less prayer, less power. When there is prayer, there is power. No prayer, no power.
4. When you are careless.
5. When your mouth is loose. You cannot control your tongue, you talk 2,000 words per minute. You say what you know and what you do not know. You become a gossip and rumour monger.
6. When your knowledge of the Bible is very low. Many church goers have very low knowledge of scriptures, whereas a a child of God, if you have been born again for about two to three years, you are supposed to know at least 52 scriptures in your head. You are supposed to meditate on scriptures daily.
7. When you are disobedient to the Holy Spirit.
8. When you do not like praises and worship.
9. When your deliverance is not complete. Samson was destroying the Philistines but when they launched a counter attack against him, they succeeded. They launched against Elijah and failed, they launched against Saul and succeeded, they launched against Elisha and failed woefully. When am unclean spirit has come out of a place, he does not go far, he wanders about seeking open doors.

Many years back, when this ministry just started, a mother rushed her only daughter to us for prayers. She just fell down and died. She brought her here, she did not take her to the hospital. We started praying.

All of a sudden, a voice spoke from her mouth to me, “Man of God, if you say we should leave, we will leave. But we will catch her again. She is a fornicator. She will fornicate and we will get back, and this time around, we will not make a mistake”. When they come, they come with more intelligence and fury. Many years ago, a man bought a parrot and put it in his house. He fed the parrot well and was friendly with it.

One day, he came home and he found out that thieves had broken in. They stole his precious things. He sat down and started crying but the parrot spoke suddenly. It said “Sunday came” and he had a friend called Sunday. He quickly rushed to the house of Sunday, and met them sharing what they stole. He was able to recover everything.

You would have thought that he would have taken adequate steps to barricade his house, but he did not. This time, the thieves came, they made no mistake. They stole his things and stole the parrot as well, so no way to recover anything.

The enemy comes back, stages a second coming which is successful:

1. If you return to your old sinful habits. The sin you repented of when you got born again, if you go back to those sins, the old problems will come back. The Bible says “if I build again the things which I destroy, I make myself a transgressor.” The Lord delivered you from Jezebel life, smoking, all forms of lying, but gradually if you go back to those things, the enemy launches a second coming.

Years back at the Tafawa Balewa Square, we had a crusade. There was a blind man at that crusade who got visited and God opened his eyes. When his eyes got opened, I remember the man of God telling those who had been healed “do not go back to your old sins.”

When this man who could now see was blind before, he did not know the size of any woman. Immediately his eyes opened, his favourite past time was to move about with women.

Then one day, he went back to his former palmwine bar to drink. He was on his second cup when his eyes got shut again. Instead of crying to God for mercy, he said “these revivalists are liars, now my eyes are closed again.” A fellow palm wine drinker replied him and asked, “did they not ask you not to come back here?” He went to his old sins and the old problems came back.

Can you raise up your right hand where you are and with a voice that roars like thunder, pray this serious and important prayer:

● Counter attack of the enemy, backfire, in the name of Jesus.

2. Sexual immorality: all forms of sexual immorality open you for attacks. There is no point blaming God or any deliverance minister if you are commuting fornication. A lot of people who go for deliverance are just asking to be delivered from the hands of God, whereas they only need repentance. If you go for three weeks deliverance, five minutes of sexual immorality will return all the demons you have lost at the deliverance ground sevenfold. This is the truth, understand this. Some are doing deliverance back to back instead of sitting down to examine themselves and find what door they are opening to the enemy. For some, their deliverance is by merely padlocking their mouths and underwears.
3. Refusal to live a holy life.
4. Bitterness and unforgiveness.
5. Disobedience to God’s instructions, because the Bible says “rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft”.
6. Pride and arrogance. God hates the proud, and loves the humble.
7. Keeping secret sins or cleverly hidden sins will welcome the second coming of the attacker.
8. Unbroken demonic agreements.
9. When the legal ground the enemy is using to enter your life is not revoked. So the enemy keeps coming back. They say “Look at this person. The Bible says ‘let not your heart be troubled, believe in God and believe in me.’ but this person’s heart is troubled”.
10. Loving the world more than God, opens you to satanic attack.

I have shared this before, let me share it again. When we got here in 1994, there used to be a woman who comes here. The enemy had dealt with her. She went from wealth to poverty, deep poverty entered her. That poverty drove her here. She started deliverance and prayers. Then her blessings began to come back.

The woman became stinkingly rich. Immediately she became stinkingly rich and had plenty cars, we stopped seeing her in MFM We kept wondering “where is that woman that used to shout during corridor prayers and prays till she is sweating?” We did not see her again. One day I went to a supermarket and saw her buying things, her cart was full. I said “ah sis Rebecca! where have you been? long time”. She said “I am not coming there again, my money has come”. I said “okay o.” The life of a prophet is very simple. If God says ‘thus says the Lord’ and you do not listen, He will just walk away.

Then when you find yourself in trouble, there is nothing the prophet can do. He can only pray for you. You cannot take him to police station if the prayer is not answered.

Two months later, I saw her back at MFM. I said “Sister Rebecca, you are here again?” She exclaimed “ahh problem! The same problem that happened to me has come again.” All her shops caught fire and everything went down again. The husband ran away. You know what happened to her? The demon that left, came back with more wicked spirits to now deal with her. I am sad to tell you that it did not take her two months after she came back that she died. They brought in seven more wicked spirits and the money she was saying has now arrived, flew away.

11. Weak or dead prayer altars. Personal prayer altar is important. If you are a man here and there is no family altar in your house, you better start. Your family must pray together.
12. Speaking negative or careless words. I have advised MFM members that if you see anyone speaking against any man of God, do not get involved or contribute, because to his God he is responsible. And God has not put the punishing rod of any man of God in your hand, leave him to his God. You cannot fight for God. It is dangerous to fight for God. Aaron and Miriam tried to fight for God by confronting Moses. By the time God came into it, He had to discipline them. So you have to be very careful, do not get it wrong.
13. Being too busy for God. You are too busy to serve God. You do not get involved in anything. You do not attend house fellowship, singing in the choir, evangelism, prayer warrior, join a group, no. How do you come to the house of God and make no contribution?
14. Making vows to God and breaking them. You are the one making the vows and breaking them. You are opening the doors to the attackers. I need to explain these things to you because 70 days is starting and I do not want you to lose your blessings.
15. Allowing fear and doubt to dominate your life. It is an unguarded hour.
16. Attending ungodly ceremonies or parties. Do not go to where angels of God will not follow you.
17. Lack of thanksgiving and praises. You are not grateful to God, you do not praise or thank God and you sometimes do praise and worship as though you are doing God a favour.
18. Giving up very quickly on prayers.
19. When you neglect night prayers.
20. When you allow your generational bad habits to continue.
21. Returning to your old ungodly friends. These things will write a long letter, a courier letter to the second coming of the attacker, and so a situation that has disappeared will now multiply sevenfold and come back to attack the person. And they will make no mistakes the second time. They will not give you a chance to escape before finishing you up.

PRAYER POINTS
[Before Message]

1. The battle of “you shall hear testimonies, but you shall not share testimonies”, get out of my way, in the name of Jesus.
2. Any evil tongue assigned to damage my existence, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
3. My glory, hiding in the place where destinies are not celebrated, come out by fire, in the name of Jesus.
4. Angels of sudden miracles, visit me this morning, in the name of Jesus.
5. You month of August, hear the Word of the Lord: favour me by fire, in the name of Jesus.

1. Counter attack of darkness, die, in the name of Jesus.
2. Counter attack of darkness in my dream, die, in the name of Jesus.
3. My enemies shall die in my place, in the name of Jesus.
4. Every good thing that I have lost to counter attack, come back now, in the name of Jesus.
5. Powers calling my head for evil, before I leave this place, die, in the name of Jesus.
6. Demonic birds sent against me, attack your senders, in the name of Jesus.
7. Lion of Judah, arise: tear my enemies to pieces, in the name of Jesus.
