Topic: WHEN YOU DO NOT KNOW YOURSELF (2)
Text: Isaiah 6:1-5

This is a day to cry seriously unto the heavenlies. The process of self discovery may be very tough but it is rewarding; so that you do not become a round peg in a square hole.
In Isaiah 6, we read the story of Isaiah.
Isaiah 6:1-5 (KJV) says: “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.”
For the first time, Isaiah saw himself, he knew who he was, and his life changed. He would have died in that place as a palace prophet, but eventually he became the messianic prophet, because of all books in the Old Testament, it is in the book of Isaiah you find the gospel of Jesus so clearly preached.
It is in that book you find “All we like sheep have gone astray, and we have turned every man to his own way”. It is in that book you find “For unto us a Son is born, unto us a Son is given…..” It is in that book you find “He himself born our infirmities…..” He was a messianic prophet but he would have died as a palace prophet.
Isa was the youngest boy in his family. He grew up knowing troubles. He grew up not knowing what is called success. He noticed that he hated women right from his young age. This continued until he became 40 years.
Things were really rough. It was at this age that he came across a message like this and he prayed “Lord I want to know who I am, I want know what is going on in my life, I want to understand myself.” As he went out that day, he saw this big woman by the door with more than two breasts and they were so long and touching the ground.
He was scared and wanted to run away but the creature spoke and said “Isa, my husband.” He asked “Me your husband? I do not know you.” She said” go and ask your father.” Isa ran quickly to where the father was and told him what he saw. To his amazement, the father said “you saw her?” His father was very sad.
He said that all his days, he had been praying to see that woman who their grandfather talked to them about, that she was the goddess of the family, and that he had never seen her, but Isa was seeing her now. But then, Isa was in trouble.
When he started praying, he now recognised that the real Isa was married in the spirit realm to a wife with breasts touching the ground. He started crying for deliverance until breakthrough came. This is a day to cry to the heavens to discover who you are. It was after this revelation he began to discover himself.
Some breakthroughs will not come until you discover who you are. Sisters need to pray really hard here today because evil spirits have more than a common interest in women.
Any woman befriending the woman is making a huge mistake. War has been declared against the devil and the woman right from the book of Genesis. The devil cannot be the friend of any woman. He hates women with perfect hatred and demons can go to unimaginable extents to carry out their evil interest in women.
Satan targeted women in garden of Eden, but if you notice what God said, in the plan of redemption, it was the seed of the woman, not the man that would bruise the head of the serpent. So, any woman living a holy life gives Satan nightmares. Satan’s agenda is for women is to push them from pillar to post, push them around, make them prostitutes, to make them become useless.
● I pray for all women today: if you have unconsciously or consciously formed a covenant with the devil, by the power in the blood of Jesus, let that covenant be broken, in the name of Jesus.
There is no greater discovery than the discovery of oneself. Once you discover yourself, you have made a very big discovery. It is possible to be born again, sanctified, spirit-filled and a pastor and still not know who you are. The most horrible form of ignorance is when a person is ignorant of himself.
Until you discover who you are, you can really never achieve your greatest goal. When two people who do not know who they are get married, there will be confusion. Many dead or living people by divine arithmetic never showed up.
They are there but really not there. They are present but absent. They arrived on earth but did not show up. And the enemy is very happy when a person is just living on earth but does not know why he is there, what he is doing, where he should be, where he belongs.
That is why I said today is a day to cry to the heavens. This is not crying against witches, wizards or powers of darkness. It is to pray about yourself. If you want to be effective, you must discover who you are.
Beloveth, if you do not know yourself, you know nothing. You may be a professor, pastor, doctor, but you know nothing. You must discover yourself. When you discover yourself, then you will be able to know whether you are intact or altered consciously or unconsciously, because the enemy alters people, and when they see themselves, they shout “ah! This is the real me?” A man was in deep trouble and he cried himself to sleep. Everything turned against him, but when he slept, he had a dream, that someone took him to heaven. He saw a man coming towards them, the man looked exactly like him, but well fed, comfortable and okay.
The person who took him to heaven asked “Do you see that person?” He answered “He looks like me”. The person said “infact, that is who you are supposed to be.” That is why I know that for majority listening to me, where you are now is not your final bus-stop. This is not your best. You need to cry to the heavenlies.
When you do not know who you are:
- You will be wrongly positioned.
- Your life will be upside down.
- You exist as your photocopy, not original.
- You will throw your net inside the wrong sea.
- You will place the ladder of your destiny on the wrong wall.
- You do not know when the role of somebody in your destiny is over, or to know that the person is not supposed to be in your destiny at all.
- It is then you allow somebody to toy with your body.
- It is then you have no control over your desires.
- It is then you allow lifeless slave masters to control your life; like cigarette, alcohol, hard drugs.
- The enemy positions you to be feeding on remnants. And then you will be praising God that you are feeding on remnants, because you do not know who you are.
- That is when you can wake up in the morning and say “I have no enemy.” Ahh, God himself has enemies. The Bible says “let God arise and let his enemies be scattered”, and you say you have no enemy. Once you want to fulfil your destiny, the whole of hell fire will rise against you.
- The silencers will ensure that you have no voice. There is someone here who needs to cry with a loud voice, “I must become what God wants me to become, and if the enemy has designed my life, I go back to my original design”.
- You will be listening to strange commands. “Go to party”, you go. “Drink this”, you drink. “Eat that”, you eat. They move you about like a robot, because you do not know who you are. But if you know who you and what God has asked you to do, you will say “no, you cannot push me to do that”.
- You will be listening to the siren of destiny robbers, you will play into their hands.
- The enemy takes it as an opportunity to silence your correct life.
Can you raise yo your right hand to the heavenlies and shout this loud? If you lose your voice praying this prayer and you possess your possession, you have made a good bargain:
● My correct life, where are you? Manifest, in the name of Jesus.
- All your friends will be deficits, you will have wrong friends who will give you satanic boyfriend or girlfriend that will destroy your destiny. You will have friends who you copy and destroy yourself.
In 1995, a sister living in London brought her daughter who was in UNILAG to me. She said “GO, this is my daughter, help me be praying for her”. Merely looking at the little girl, I saw a shining destiny. So we began to give her prayers and directions. One day she came to me looking sad. I asked “what is the matter?” She replied “In the campus, the girls there are mocking me.
They said my breasts are small.” I asked “so?” She continued “they said the reason my breasts are small is because I am a virgin, and if I want them to be big, I should start sleeping with men. I exclaimed “It is a lie! It is spiritually and biologically wrong.
Do not listen to them. If they are harassing you too much, do not bathe as the same time as them in the bathroom. Let them have their time”. She protested “they are mocking me.”
I told her to ignore them. She left my counsel and went to another pastor who said to her “well, if it is just once it is okay, that once is enough to expand your breasts. When you do it, ask the Lord to forgive you.” She listened to that satanic advice.
Only once she had sex, she got pregnant. Trouble started. By the time they rushed her to the hospital, they found out that she had triplets. One foetus went into the first fallopian tube, the second foetus went into the second fallopian tube, and the third one remained in the womb.
The two in the fallopian tube became ectopic pregnancy and she had problems, and she was going to die, so the doctors had to rush in and save her life. They cut off the two fallopian tubes and in the process of cutting off the fallopian tubes to save the baby in the womb, they aborted the third baby. So three babies dead and two fallopian tubes gone. She started problems in her life. Eventually her frustration led her to jail.
● May you have good friends, in Jesus name.
Deficit friends can only mislead those who do not know themselves.
When you do not know yourself,
- You feel lost in the world.
- You become a testing ground for satanic weapons. They will be using their weapons to test on your body.
- You will start going through life as a stranger.
This is why God in His wisdom will give people their names before they are born, and it signifies the kind of person they should be. He said “You shall deliver a Son and call himself John, he shall be great before the Lord, and he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah.
She will turn the hearts of the father to their children….” That is correct identity. When John became older and they asked “who are you? Are you Jesus the Christ?” “No.” They asked again “are you that prophet?”
He still replied “No.” The they asked “so Who are you?” He replied “I am the voice of him that crieth in the wilderness.” When you know who you are, do not worry yourself about anyone’s opinion. God has created everybody in this world to have an opinion. You should not allow another person’s opinion to determine your destiny. They are entitled to their opinion.
They can call you anything they like, their opinion. Do not bother about those things, once you know where God is taking you. I am going to speak a word of prophecy now. I do not know who it is for. But let your amen be tenfold:
● I am praying for you here: any power pressing down your head, that does not want you to rise, I kill them now, in the name of Jesus.
When you do not know yourself:
- You pass through life without making impact on anybody. If nobody is learning anything good from you, something is wrong with you. You will become like a stranger to yourself.
- You with your own hand will surrender the horse of your destiny to the servant that will be riding on it. You cause it yourself.
Somebody shared a story with me. This lady found a sugar daddy. She liked money and the man was giving her money, buying her many things that she, her parents or anyone around her could not afford.
He was a married man, giving her she wants, but on one condition: that she must agree that she would sleep with him anytime she was on her period. After a while, he disappeared. He was not contacting her again. Right from the day she did not hear from the man again, her menstruation ceased. He had used her virtues; her blood.
When you go through life without knowing yourself, that is what you do. She handed her life over to the enemy.
- You go through life as the tail when you should be the head. You pass exams no one asked you to take. You choose a partner that will dispattern your life because you do not know who you are.
- You fish and catch nothing in the ocean of life and eventually if you are not careful, you will crawl unknown to an unknown grave.
- You make yourself a permanent spiritual slave, and to worsen the case, you may die before yor time, because you are completely ignorant of your destiny.
- You begin to practice self hatred. You feel unwanted, unneeded, inadequate, negative, you allow yourself to be caged by the enemy.
There is something the Bible calls “the curse of the vagabond”. It comes upon people who do not know who they are. They wander up and down from business to business, place to place, man to man, woman to woman, job to job, they are never established in fulfilling any good thing. They have succession of continuous failures. They fail to find favour.
● I am praying for someone here today: If the arrow of vagabond anointing has been fires against you, let the arrows go back to the senders, in the name of Jesus
We need to cry out this evening with everything within us, “Lord show me who I am, let me know what I am doing here. Am I in the right place? Am I still intact? Or have I been altered from the womb? Am I doing the right thing? Am I in the right business?”
The prayers today are prayers of
- discovery,
- recovery,
- restoration,
- discernment,
- repositioning,
-reanointing, - repossession.
Samson’s father and mother were married, but they did not have a child on time. The wife was very prayerful because two times the messenger of God came, he went to her. So he met her and gave her instructions. “Do not drink wine, do not do this and that.”
There are certain things certain people must never do. Once you do, you derail yourself. For some people, they must never visit a witch doctor. Once they put their heads there, they are in trouble. For some, they must never touch a drop of alcohol. Those are their divine instructions. Others may be doing it but their case is different.
There are some that have to marry as virgins. If they disvirgin themselves before marriage, there will be problems. There are instructions given according to each person. When John was going to be born, there were instructions. The angel was unlocking for them, the personal mysteries of those human beings.
By divine design, some are not to put a stick of cigarette in their mouths. If you do not discover who you are, the enemy will push you all over the place. Let me share with you the origin of the prayers we pray in MFM. I was in secondary school preparing for final exams.
One evening, I was walking past when somebody called to me “Bro Daniel! Come and help us! We were trying to fry dey something but the frying pan caught fire.” So I ran there to help. I did not know I went to look for trouble. At the door mouth of the kitchen, before my eyes, the fire burning inside the frying pan became a ball of fire, rose up, changed direction in a right angle and was coming towards me.
You may ask “why did you not run?” I could not. Something made me stuck there. I could not run. All of a sudden, that ball of fire landed on my leg and my right leg began to burn. I started shouting “my leg!”
Three adults ran towards me. One said “let us pour ice water on it”. One said “let us pour pap on it”, and the third one said “no, let us crush eggs and pour on it.” And they kept arguing while my legs were burning. I started begging them to please stop arguing and take a decision. They decided to pour ice water on the leg. By that time, the leg had ballooned and very painful.
This made me to sit at home for weeks. I could not go to school, my right leg could not fit into any shoe and even if it did, I could not walk. They were treating me, and it was improving. When it became less swollen, I decided to go to school. I wore shoes on one leg, and the other leg was bandaged. On my first day at school, the results of those who had taken exams were released, and all of us went to look at the results. In those days we were ruled by the bell in my school.
Once the bell rang for you to go back to class, you had to run immediately. If you did not run, we had a cane master who would cane you back to your class. We were looking at the results when all of a sudden, the bell rang. Other boys ran away, but with my one and half legs, I was going slowly. The cane master came, and thought I was walking with style.
So he ran after me with the cane. I tried to run but my leg did not run. I summersaulted and broke my left hand. Here I was, with a broken right hand and roasted left leg and I wanted to write final exam. They wanted to take me to my parents, but I refused. I told them to take me to the hospital instead, because my parents would faint if they found out that I had broken my hand in addition.
My parents were in shock because the child who left home with one bandaged leg came back with plaster of Paris in another hand. Again, I ended up staying at home, and examination was fast approaching.
It was on that bed that the angel of come came to me and asked me, “son, what happened to your leg?” I said “It was roasted, it was paining me.” He asked “What happened to your hand?” I said “It is broken.” The angel asked “And you cannot see that it is an agenda of the enemy so you cannot take that exam?” I said ” Yes. I see.” The angel declared “If you see, start praying like this” and I started.
● I am praying for somebody here: The Anointing that will change your destiny forever will fall upon your life now, in the name of Jesus.
One of the prayers I prayed on that bed is one of our most popular prayers now.
● Owners of evil load, what are you waiting for? Carry your load, in the name of Jesus.
Why am I telling you this story? It was on that bed that I discovered who I am. I prayed those prayers, wrote my exam and I came out with the best results in that school. We used to pray in my church, but I did not know that I could pray on my own like that and get results.
WHAT TO DO
You need to:
- Depart from sin.
- Know your enemy. A soldier in a battle cannot be shooting anyhow. You must know who to shoot at.
- Know your God.
- Pray to know the secrets.
- Pray for revelation about yourself. Pray for an encounter with God.
It is the prayers we want to pray now. If you pray these prayers, lose your voice, but discover things about yourself, and the Lord is able to reveal your personal mystery to you, you have made a good bargain. But if you keep quiet, it will not be the fault of this fellow talking to you now.
PRAYER POINTS.
- O God arise, deliver me from myself, in the name of Jesus.
- Powers turning me against myself, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
- I refuse to be the weapon fashioned against my destiny, in the name of Jesus.
- Internal battles assigned to derail my destiny, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
- My life, reject self destruction, in the name of Jesus.
- Arrows of self sabotage, backfire, in the name of Jesus.
- Any part of me cooperating with the enemy, receive deliverance, in the name of Jesus.
- I refuse to be my own enemy, by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
- I recover by fire, every good thing my mistakes have stolen from me, in the name of Jesus.
- Anything in my life commanding my star to fade, you are a liar, die, in the name of Jesus.
- Battles assigned to waste my future, die, in the name of Jesus.
- O God arise, and rewrite my story where I have written nonsense, in the name of Jesus.
- (Pray this three hot times) Mercy of God, silence the consequences of my foolishness, in the name of Jesus.
