Topic: MY BACKGROUND CANNOT STOP ME

Text: Job 8:7

• When you talk about background, you are talking about:

– your hereditary

– your lineage

– your family tree; it has a capacity to stop your destiny.

 

“Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.”Job 8:7

 

===> You may have a terrible background, your latter end shall be greatly increased, in Jesus’ name.

 

===> Any background, that wants to scatter your destiny, I break them now, in the name of Jesus.

 

• In life, there are three categories of people.

– people with good background

– people with bad background

– people with ugly, rough and terrible background; unfortunately, this is where the majority falls.

 

FACTS TO NOTE BEFORE WE START PRAYING

1. Where you are born is not a choice, but where you are going is your choice. You are not given permission to choose your father and mother.

2. That you are born in that family with rough background, God has a prophetic agenda upon your life. And the prophetic agenda is to re-write your family history.

===> The anointing that will make you re-write your family history, receive it in the name of Jesus.

 

3. How you are born is beyond your control.

4. Anytime God wants to announce and display His power, He looks for those with terrible and rough background.

5. Your background is not a barrier to your destiny fulfilment if you can pray. You can be born in a manger and become a manager.

6. Your background should not keep your back on the ground forever. You must rise above your background.

7. Your background cannot stop God and if it cannot stop God, it cannot stop you.

 

BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF THOSE WHO THEIR BACKGROUND COULD NOT STOP THEM

1. Abraham -Joshua 24:2&3

===> The hand that took Abraham from his evil background, shall take you up, in Jesus’ name.

 

2. Gideon -Judges 6:12&15

3. Jesus Christ -John 1:46

 

===> If the background of Abraham did not stop him, it cannot stop you; if the background of Gideon did not stop him, it cannot stop you; if the background of our Lord Jesus Christ could not stop Him, it cannot stop you, in the name of Jesus.

 

WHAT TO DO IF YOU DON’T WANT YOUR BACKGROUND TO STOP YOU

1. Surrender your life Jesus.

2. Repent from every sin.

3. Get in contact with the presence of God.

4. Ask for the grace always. (Not the grace to be committing Sin and be saying God understands that we are humans BUT the grace that will change your destiny)

5. Humble yourself in the presence of God.

6. Obey all His (God’s) instructions.

* I have observed that, in the whole universe, the only thing that do not obey God is Human Being.

7. Aggressively pray for a change.

 

PRAYER POINTS

1. Every background restricting my destiny, break by fire, in the name of Jesus.

2. Anything that stops destiny in my background, you cannot stop me, die, in the name of Jesus.

 

SING: Holy Ghost, I need a change by fire!
