Topic: THE SERPENTS IN MY FAMILY LINE

Jesus said, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over every power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”.

The serpents and scorpions Jesus was referring to here represent the power of darkness in all their ramifications. So there are serpents we need to deal with, here today. Those of you who know a little bit about me know that I studied molecular genetics. Genetics is the study of heredity and variation and how they are transmitted from offspring to offspring.

For example, if I ask you to twitch your nose, some people may not be able to do it. If I say, “Roll your tongue,” some people may not be able to do it.

All these are genetics. Some are very short. And by the time you look sometimes, you will see that the parents are very short. So you are a combination of things you inherited from your forefathers. Up to the tiniest head on your head, you inherited it all.

Your hair can be like that of your mother or grandmother; it is all in your blood or genes. So that is why sometimes, when you go to the hospital, doctors ask questions about your family and your history. They are asking about simple human genetics. Even the doctors know that you can inherit liability from your ancestors.

I pray that here, today, every liability in your genes must dry up and die, in the name of Jesus.

In genetics, once you have inherited a thing, there is no mercy because it is inside your DNA, your genes, and your blood, so the only intervention is divine intervention. When we started primary school, schools were very primitive at the time. In fact, in the place where I started primary school, there was no nursery or primary school. They never taught us “A for apple,” and we have never seen an apple before. So nobody taught us that. We did not have exercise book in primary 1. We wrote with slates and chalk.

When we wanted to enter school, there was no exam; they only said, “Put your hand above your head and let it touch your ear.” So if you come from a family where genetically they are short, it means that you may never get into school until you are 50 years old. There are things that we get from our ancestors. Some are very, very bad. I tell you, some are good.

The strength of your enemy is the maintenance of your ignorance. The more ignorant you are, the more the enemy will prey on you and cheat you.

Like I told you, doctors want to know your family history; they want to know what you got from your family line. There are serpents in plenty of family lines. We have plenty of prayers, but first, let me lay the background.

Let us read some scripture. Abraham, in the Bible, slept with his housemaid. It was in his blood. By the time it got to Jacob, he too had slept with his housemaids. Abraham married a very fair and beautiful woman, and he had to tell lies so that he would not be killed because of the woman.

Isaac, too, married a fair and beautiful woman. So that he, too, would not be killed, he told a lie. Jacob too married a fair and beautiful woman, but in the night she was changed to another, and he was given the wrong person. He married at night, and in the morning, he saw that he had given him the wrong person. There are plenty of people like that who have married in the dark. Now that there is light, they do not want the woman again, but they have no option. What God has joined together, let no man, woman, father-in-law, mother-in-law, or strange woman put asunder.

Whether you were drunk when you were joined together, it does not matter. You were joined. And this went on because it was inside that blood. And as we began to read again, Gideon came from a family that worshipped idols, and God told him to destroy the idols before he could serve God. He did, but the thing was already in the blood.

Gideon eventually went back to all those idols that were in his family house, and technically, he relocated himself to the poverty of his father’s house, where the Lord found him.

This is a very serious matter. In the family of Judah, anything something good was coming their way; a woman seemed to come along, and everything went away. They all seemed to have weaknesses for fear, and beautiful women in that family.

There are some men like that too; anytime they see some certain type of women, their brain is turned upside down. These are things in the gene. The devil is a very clever devil. He knows what is inside your genes; he knows what you are prone to do; he knows the liabilities you have inherited.

You cannot stop the devil from fighting you, but you can stop him from winning the battle. But you fight with knowledge. There are plenty of generational battles and generational liabilities flowing in the blood of so many people. And when we begin again to read the story of Abraham, we find out that all the firstborns were disinherited. Ishmael went, and Isaac took his position. Esau went, and Jacob took his position. Reuben went, and somebody like Joseph now came in.

And in fact, when Joseph brought his two children to Jacob to bless, the man crossed his hands and the younger one took over. And even when Tamar bore twins, the firstborn came out, and a scarlet ring was tied to his hand. Do you know that because of that thing in the blood, that one went back into the womb, and the younger brother came out? So you can see the influence of these things. Today is a day to cry to the heavens. There are plenty and plenty of terrible serpents in the family line that we need to kill.

Just like you see in the line of Abraham, it goes on and on unless there is divine intervention. Unless there is a massive intervention, if we remain ignorant, the enemy will prey on us. That is why, today, we should reverse what the enemy has put on us. It is possible for you to pray this kind of prayer, and you do not know what is happening in your body. Because the fire of God will enter your DNA and your genes and begin to point out things.

In Luke 4:18, we see one of the most powerful scriptures in the whole of the Bible.

Luke 4:18 (KJV): “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. “

It is time to say a capital NO to certain things that you know are in your family—the ‘like father, like son’, ‘like mother, like daughter’ problems going on in your life.

In some families,

• you can see the serpent of inherited poverty. Nobody in that family has ever built a house. Nobody has ever been financially dependent. Nobody has ever had enough to give to others. That serpent of poverty must die. And that is why, in families like that, immediately after people from those families go to the town and start building houses, they die even before the houses are completed.
• The serpent in some family lines that they have inherited is that when they start getting ahead and people begin to wonder, everything just falls apart.
• the serpent is that they keep falling into the sins of their parents. They want to stop, but they cannot help it. It is very, very sad.
• the serpent is that they do not live long. By 40 or 50, they are dead. It is as though the curse of Eli is on the family. God told Eli, “There shall not be an old man in your house forever. All the men in your house shall die at the prime of their age.” And it just went on like that.
• they are fond of cursing their children. Great-grandfather cursed grandfather, grandfather cursed father, and now father has cursed the child. Just by sitting down and doing nothing, you do not get anything.
• the serpent is lying. When they say there is sun, you better get an umbrella real quick.
• all the men in that family, as a matter of necessity of what is in their blood, must marry witches. They do not like women who are not witches.
• the women will always marry men who will always give them a thorough beating as if they were in a boxing ring. Sometimes they get beaten to the point of coma. It is in the blood. It has already passed.
• when somebody dies and they want to go bury the dead, there is an accident, and those who went to bury the dead die while going to bury the dead.
• the serpent is sickness.
• the serpent is skin disorders.
• There will always be a young girl or teenager who gets pregnant in school.
• There will be a time when somebody just walks away and nobody knows where he is. The corpse of that person is never found.
• The women will be doing so well, but their husbands will never do well.
• They marry good husbands to start with, but after some time, the man will begin to smoke and become useless.
• It is marriage breakdown. Your great-grandfather divorced his wife, your grandfather divorced his wife, your father divorced your mother, and now you are already on the verge of divorcing your wife.
• The serpent is bankruptcy. They start a business and go bankrupt.
• Nobody goes to the university. Anyone who attempts to go will die. That is what happened in some families. When I travelled abroad for my degree, I met a Nigerian. The first time I met him, I greeted him, but God opened my eyes, and I saw a masquerade following him. Masquerades in the dream mean ancestral spirits. So I said, “My brother, there is a masquerade following you. Cut it off.” He laughed at me and said, “You are in the UK, and you are seeing masquerades.”

So I left him alone. He was studying food science. PhD is for 3 years; he studied it for 8 years. Before you pass a PhD, you attend an interview where a professor will come and ask you questions verbally. To graduate with a PhD, you must write a book called a thesis. So his exam came, and the professor was there. The professor asked him the simplest question. “What is the title of your thesis?” He wrote it for eight years after all. Beloveth, he could not remember. And you know how vicious external examiners can be. So the man kept repeating the same question.

And that was what he was asked for an hour. After 1 hour, he said, ” I assumed you did not do this work. If you did it, you will not have trouble remembering. Therefore, I fail you.” It was when the man said ‘fail!’ that he remembered the name. I was already asleep at 12 midnight when I heard a knock on my door. He said, ” Daniel, come out oo there is fire on the mountain.”

I asked what the matter was. He said, “The masquerade you saw, this is the time to kill it.” I asked him what happened. He then recounted the tale of woe. He was the first person in his family to get a degree. When he now wanted to get a PhD, the masquerade followed him to the UK. Raise your right hand and shout:

Masquerade power assigned against my destiny, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.

Now to deal with these serpents,

• You must be born again.
• You must repent from every known sin.
• You must die to self.
• You must have aggressive determination to change the course of your life for the better.
• If you come from a cooperative family, you must agree to do a family deliverance, and the whole family will have to pray destiny changing prayers.

This is why we are here now.

PRAYER POINTS

[Before Message]

1. Wickedness of the wicked, assigned against my life, expire, in the name of Jesus.
2. Battles assigned to disgrace me, your time is up; die, in the name of Jesus.

[After Message]

1. O God arise, and purge my family line, in the name of Jesus.
2. Circle of darkness in my family line, die, in the name of Jesus.
3. Patterns of darkness in my family line, break, in the name of Jesus.
4. The mistakes of my parents, will not become my tragedy, in the name of Jesus.
5. I refuse to struggle with what my parents struggled with, in the name of Jesus.
6. Powers that hate my existence, die in the name of Jesus.
7. (lay your hand on your chest) Power of defilement, drinking the blood of my spiritual life, clear away, in the name of Jesus.
8. Any power contaminating my life, die in the name of Jesus.
9. (Lay your right hand on your head.) Powers calling my name from an altar, powers calling my head from a coven, die in the name of Jesus.
10. Thou satanic kingdom, assigned against my head, get thee behind me, in the name of Jesus.
11. Agent of hardship in my body, what are you waiting for? Die in the name of Jesus.
12. Arrows from the dream, hear the Word of the Lord, backfire, in the name of Jesus.
13. Powers of limitation, I am not your candidate; die in the name of Jesus.
14. Power of delay, your time is up; die, in the name of Jesus.
15. Powers of eaters of flesh and drinkers of blood, what are you waiting for? Die in the name of Jesus.
