Topic: ENGAGING THE GREAT PHYSICIAN (2)

Luke 4:18–19 (KJV) says: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

I began to explain to you last week that one of the names of the Lord Jesus Christ that is beyond controversy is the name ‘The Great Physician’. We also began to look at why He is the Great Physician:

1. He never sent anyone away unhealed.
2. He heals immediately with His word.
3. He healed all who came to Him.
4. He heals permanently.
5. He heals without charge.
6. He heals without medicine or operation.
7. He heals emotional diseases.
8. He heals physical diseases.
9. He heals spiritual diseases.
10. He heals generational diseases.
11. He heals financial diseases. Finance can be sick. He has the power to heal it. Last week, we spoke about pockets with holes, and we prayed against them.
12. He heals career diseases.
13. He heals national diseases.
14. He heals perfectly.
15. He is the only physician who has a perfect and complete pharmacy.
16. His clinic is wherever you are. You do not have to go to a particular place.
17. He heals all diseases, normal or demonic, chronic or non-chronic; as the Great Physician, He heals all.
18. He touches the untouchable. You could get to a place and have your doctor wear gloves before touching you, but He does not have to wear any gloves before touching you.
19. He Himself is touchable. That woman said, “If I may but touch the hem of His garment, I will be made whole.”
20. He is a persistent healer.
21. He raises the dead organs to life. I could remember a meeting some years ago. There was a man there who had a horrible accident as a small boy, which damaged a part of his reproductive organ. He did not realise the damage the accident had done until he got married. Now, he and his wife were seeking the fruit of the womb. When they went to the hospital, the doctor told them point blank “Forget about it. There is no semen at all. It is zero.” The man was very sad. Both of them comforted themselves.

But one tenant in his house said something that made him cry. There was a quarrel in the compound, and the tenant looked at him and said, “Everybody is talking, and even you, Mr. February, are also talking.” You know February is not complete; it is not up to 31 days. So he was very downcast.

And with that sadness, he came to a meeting, and I began to read from the book of John 1, which says:

John 1:1-3 (KJV): “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.”

Then I made a sentence that said, “This means that God has all the spare parts for every organ in His warehouse, and He is able to give them out.” That was all the man heard at that meeting. He did not listen to every other thing I said until we began to pray, “Thou power of resurrection, overshadow my life.” That prayer is very powerful. It is a kind of prayer you can pray to a stage, and you will feel as if electricity is connected to your body and that resurrection power falls upon you. And once it falls upon you, everything that is not corrected will be corrected.

That prayer was one of the prayer points we called. We must have called up to twenty prayer points that night, but this man refused to change his own prayer point. When we called another prayer, this man continued the resurrection prayer. By the time they left the meeting the following morning, his wife had gotten pregnant. It was after she got pregnant that he went to the hospital to check. The doctor was amazed. He asked, “Are you the same person who came here the other time?” He replied ‘yes’. The doctor said, “This is strange. The other time you came, your sperm count was zero; now it is about fifty million. What happened?”

I am praying for somebody here today that that resurrection power that can raise the dead to life fall upon you, in the name of Jesus.

22. He heals with faith, or even in the absence of faith. There are people in the scriptures who have been healed even when they had no faith.

Look at the man who was thrown into Elisha’s grave. He was already dead. He had no capacity to even have faith. But the power of God came upon him. Jesus stopped the widow of Nain and laid hands on the son. The son was dead. He had no capacity to even believe anything. His words raised him back to life. But the resurrection power does not only work on bodily trouble. It works on career, marriage, business, and so many other things.

That is why I am praying for somebody here: may that resurrection power overshadow the totality of your life, in the name of Jesus. (a sevenfold amen).

You must have heard me share this testimony before. Let me share it again, because it happened here. This father was a professor. The mother was also a professor. But they had this child who was a total dullard. They got him various teachers, but he failed. They wasted time beating him up, but the beating did not help anything. When you put the boy in a class of 36 students, his position becomes 36th. When they added about 4 more people to the class to make 40 students, his position became 40th. The parents were sick and tired of it.

They came to a meeting like this. The boy was not here; it was just the parents who came. There was a word of knowledge that somebody had a child whose brain had been converted to sawdust in the spirit, but that the resurrection power of the Lord Jesus Christ was coming upon that person, and the parents shouted amen. They did not believe it was them until the following examination. Because the resurrection power had worked, the examination that happened in that boy’s school shocked all of them.

The boy moved from the 40th position to number 1. The teachers, who knew him very well, did not believe the result. They believed that maybe something went wrong. So they brought him alone to the staff room and set for him an even tougher examination than they did in class. Again, he did excellently well. That is what happens when the Great Physician enters a situation. The problem is that many people come to church. They are not expecting very much to happen. They just came. You know, when you come with that level of expectation, of course nothing much will happen.

Just like those people in the Bible gathered themselves at a prayer vigil with only one prayer point: ‘O God, release Peter’ because Herod had locked Peter up and was preparing to kill him. They were just praying without expecting much to happen. When God released Peter, Peter got to the gate where they were praying and was knocking on the door, and somebody said, ‘Brethren, stop praying. Peter is at the door’; they said, “No, no,, it is not Peter”. Somebody said, ‘But that is his voice’.

They told the person, “You are mad!” and continued praying to God for Peter’s release. Those were the people who gathered at a prayer meeting, expecting very much to happen. I hope you are not like that. Those who come to meetings come with high-voltage expectations, expecting things to happen, not thinking, “Oh, this meeting will be like last week or that of two weeks ago.” That is probably why angels of miracles just walk by. Jesus is the Great Physician.

Jesus is known as the Great Physician because:

23. He examines His patients without any tools. He does not need any x-rays, scans, or laboratory tests. He is therefore called the Great Physician.
24. He heals every wound. Some carry their wounds to the hospital, and the wounds stay for years, refusing to heal.
25. His diagnosis is always accurate. Doctors have made mistakes that have caused the deaths of many through misdiagnosis. Somebody might have an ulcer, and a doctor might erroneously diagnose cancer. But Jesus’ diagnosis is always accurate.

I am believing God that there will be somebody here tonight who will be able to engage that Great Physician in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINTS

Total Healing (2).

1. Any sin in my life that is bringing sickness to me, die in the name of Jesus.
2. I apply the blood of Jesus to every hidden sickness in my life, and I command them to die now, in the name of Jesus.
3. ⁠O God, arise with Your healing power and visit me, in the name of Jesus.
4. I bind and cast out every operation of the spirit of death in my life, in Jesus’ name.
5. Every altar of affliction assigned against my destiny, catch fire, in Jesus’ name.
6. Any curse or covenant aiding failure in my life, be broken by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
7. Powers sending negativity into my life, be destroyed suddenly, in the name of Jesus.
8. Every mountain of mind destruction, be rolled away by fire, in the name of Jesus.
9. I drink the blood of Jesus, and I command the roots of affliction in my life to dry up, in the name of Jesus.
10. I shall not die of any sickness but live to declare the works of God and His glory in my life, in the name of Jesus.
11. Every altar of darkness established against my well-being, crumble now, in the name of Jesus.
12. I come against every agent of the devil speaking emotional breakdown into my life, in the name of Jesus.
13. O Lord, let the fire of the Holy Ghost consume every evil plantation causing spiritual stagnation in my life, in the name of Jesus.
14. Any strong man or woman projecting backwardness into my destiny, die suddenly, in the name of Jesus.
15. I scatter every plan of the devil and his agents to use any affliction to stop my destiny in life, in the name of Jesus.
16. Every spirit of fear and anxiety assigned to cripple my faith in God, get out by fire now, in the name of Jesus.
17. Every root of hardship in my life, dry up, in the name of Jesus.
18. Every evil food causing sickness of the soul in my life, I vomit it now, in Jesus’ name.
19. Every power assigned to waste my life, be wasted, in the name of Jesus.
20. Every physical and spiritual hindrance to my total well-being, be removed by fire, in the name of Jesus.
21. I am healed by the stripes of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.

[Before Message]

1. My star in the belly of the wicked, come out by fire, in the name of Jesus.
2. Dark powers assigned to make my problem heavier than my glory, die in the name of Jesus.
3. Powers following me everywhere to block solutions to my problem, thunder of God, strike them dead, in the name of Jesus.
4. Problems without solution, assigned to swallow me, you are liars; die in the name of Jesus.

[After Message]

1. I fire back every arrow of untimely death, in the name of Jesus.
2. My arrested blessings, my impounded blessings, I recover you by fire, in the name of Jesus.
3. Satanic embargo, placed on my finances, die, in the name of Jesus.
4. Satanic embargo, placed on my (mention what you want), die in the name of Jesus.
5. (Lay one hand on your head and the other on your chest.) Battles assigned to hold me down at the wrong place, die, in the name of Jesus.
6. Great Physician, Jesus Christ: break my yoke now, in the name of Jesus.
7. O God, arise; let my blood be a terror to strange spirits, in the name of Jesus.
